Picturesque views of the landscape, warm sea, diverse cuisine and measured rhythm of life ... All these benefits you can provide Becici - a small resort town located on the Adriatic coast in Montenegro.

Description

Becici is a village in Montenegro, which received fame for its sandy beaches. A little less than a thousand people live in the village, but despite this, it is always full of travelers, and every year more and more new hotels appear there. This is a calm and picturesque resort that will not leave anyone indifferent.

Climate

The Becici climate can be attributed to the Mediterranean type. Here are mild and short winters, while summers are hot and long. In summer, the average temperature reaches + 27 ° С, in winter the thermometer drops to + 8-9 ° С. If you have a desire to spend the winter in the Montenegrin settlement, remember that the rainy season begins in November, so you need to take an umbrella with you. The best time to relax is summer. Precipitation at this time is a very rare phenomenon, and by mid-June the water in the sea reaches the optimum temperature for swimming. But keep in mind that the biggest influx of tourists will be in the summer months.

Until October, the velvet season is preserved at the resort, and in November you can start tying with a swim. In winter, Becici becomes empty, as it becomes damp, and a strong wind appears. If you want privacy, you may like this place in the winter.

In the spring the town revives again. Already in April, you can go here, because precipitation stops, the trees begin to bloom, and the sun accompanies the walk. Tourists at this time a little. Starting in May, the temperature becomes summer, but you should still refrain from swimming. If you can not decide at what time to come to this corner of Montenegro, here is the average temperature by months:

  • January - + 6.2 ° С;
  • February - + 6.8 ° С;
  • March - + 10 ° С;
  • April - + 13.2 ° С;
  • May - + 21.5 ° C;
  • June - + 25.5 ° С;
  • July - + 28.5 ° С;
  • August - + 30.7 ° С;
  • September - + 25.8 ° С;
  • October - + 16 ° С;
  • November - + 10.8 ° С;
  • December - + 7.5 ° С.

What to see?

There are few sights in Becici and all of them can be found on the map, but at the same time it will not leave anyone indifferent. Of course, the most important attraction is the beach with the promenade. It is large - more than 2 kilometers long, and when compared with the neighboring Budva, it is also much better in quality. Most of the sandy beaches have everything you need to relax: deck chairs and umbrellas, showers and changing rooms, a cafe. On the beaches, which belong to the hotel, there are water activities, but more on that later.

The water park at the Hotel Mediteran with a lot of slides and a variety of swimming pools will definitely appeal to both children and adults. And it is not necessary to be guests of this hotel, you can simply pay for the entrance.

One of the interesting features of Becici are pedestrian tunnels that pass through the rocks. They can lead you to Budva and Kamenevo (do not worry, this is not the only way to be there - you can take advantage of the tracks). In the summer, charter heat, just walk through the tunnels. Cool crossings are equipped for walking, while there you can find a panel and get closer acquainted with the history of Montenegro.

The small Orthodox Church of St. Thomas will also appeal to those who are looking for a place to be alone. A small and cozy place is located in a very picturesque place - on a mountain surrounded by a rose garden.If you decide to leave Becici for a short time, then go to Budva. It is worth visiting the ancient fortress and the museum that is located in it. The most budget leisure option is walking around the city. If you climb a little uphill, then you can see a stunning view. Tiled roofs of houses, the sea and a lot of greenery can inspire you to any accomplishments.

Bechichi fishing lovers will appreciate. Not far from the settlement there are many lakes where the most diverse fish lives (there are also fishing shops in the vicinity, and you can easily rent a boat at the pier). Travel agencies organize group fishing trips, where the guide shares all the details and tricks that can be useful in the process of fishing. If you are a lover of shopping, this picturesque region may disappoint you a little. There are no shopping centers or boutiques. But in visiting the local market and tiny shops you should not deny yourself. Honey, local wine, olive oil, as well as many other quality products can be brought home as a souvenir. Seafood can be bought literally at every step.

Now go through the list of excursions that you can visit while in Becici.

  • Excursion "Canyons" is the most popular in all of Montenegro. You can see Lake Skadar, which is the largest in Europe, visit the mountains and the canyon of the Tara River, and take a walk through the Durmitor National Park.
  • "Heart of Montenegro" lead you to Cetinje, which has its ancient history. You are waited by a trip on a yacht, a platform with a panorama of the Bay of Kotor. In local shops you can buy delicious homemade cheese and other edible souvenirs.
  • Grand Canyon Tour will lead you to the north of Montenegro. The bus travels near the canyon of the river Moraca, then there is an observation deck on the mountains. The next canyon is the river Tara, followed by the Dzhurdzhevicha bridge - one of the main attractions of Montenegro. After lunch, Durmitor National Park will meet you. If you have a desire, you can swim in the sea (if the season allows). The excursion is completed by the Piva River, Lake Piva and the Piva Orthodox Monastery.
  • Excursion to the Scandar Lake will allow you to get a little better acquainted with the fauna of this country, since the lake is located in a national park. There is a lot of fish in it, you can go fishing if you have a license. In the absence of it, you can just swim.
  • If all of the above seems too calm and measured, then Jeep Safari should make you delighted. The most interesting sightseeing tour will allow you to visit places where the bus just will not pass. Biogradska Gora National Park is the oldest in Montenegro, and an experienced guide will tell you a lot of interesting facts from its history.

What to try?

Despite the popularity of fishing in these regions, restaurants still have a lot of meat positions, because they are preferred by the locals (it is worth noting that seafood here is more expensive than meat). Both newcomers and indigenous people include chevapchichi minced sausages (they are prepared and served with fresh vegetables or potatoes at your discretion), Negushsky prshut, braised lamb, thick chorba soup (it is cooked with meat, fish, and even cancer). Do not forget about specialties based on dairy products - Paru and Tsitsvara.

How to get there:

Citizens of the Russian Federation may stay in the state for up to 30 days without a visa, but it is necessary to register at the place of stay within the first 24 hours after arrival. You go to the post office in Budva and pay the tourist tax, which is 1 EUR for each day of stay in the country (per person). Then you go to the tourist office in Staraya Budva and get registered there. After all the manipulations, you still have a receipt for paying the duty, at the exit the border guard can ask her (if it turns out that you are an undocumented traveler, then you will have to pay a fine of 60 EUR).

There are two airports in Montenegro: one in the capital Podgorica, the second in Tivat. The latter is closest to Becici, so it’s better to take a ticket from Russia to there. Planes fly every day, there is a direct flight from Moscow and St. Petersburg.

The airport of arrival is at a distance of 25 kilometers from the village and 21 kilometers from Budva, but there is no public transport on this route. Tourists turn to taxi drivers, and those for 30-35 EUR will take them to their destination. If you arrived without a suitcase and didn’t mind saving, take a taxi to Tivat bus station (cost about 5 EUR), then transfer to the bus and go to Budva bus station (ticket 2.5 EUR). Here you can either take a taxi (5 EUR), or take another bus (1,5 EUR) and so get to Becici.

Flight by plane to Montenegro is the best option. If you want to travel by train, you should understand that the journey takes several days, and you must get visas of those countries through which you will pass. There are no buses from Russia. There is an option to travel by car, but this is also very time consuming and also requires obtaining a visa from countries that are crossed.
