In comparison with other cultural centers of Montenegro Dobra-Voda is a small village where you can relax in silence, away from the noisy nightlife. Settled settlement in the southern part of the country, it can be crossed if you go to Ulcinj - another resort in Montenegro.

The main means of transportation here is considered public transport, which makes regular routes to nearby cities. There are several car rental points, but the future driver has some requirements: you must be over 21 years old and have a driving experience of at least three years.

If we talk about the proximity to the major resorts of the country, it is located 69 kilometers from Kotor Dobra-Voda, 59 kilometers from Podgorica, and it takes 1.5 hours from the airport to reach the place.

From any point of a small village to the beach, the road takes only ten minutes. It should be said that this place is not among the most visited, so the water and the beach here is cleaner.

Despite the numerous advantages of the resort, one part of it stands above the highway, which not everyone likes, especially couples with children.

The beach in the village is mostly pebbly, but you can also find sandy areas. There is an opportunity to use a chaise lounge and an umbrella. To make it comfortable for guests, showers and toilets are installed throughout the entire length.

Yachts are often moored along the coast, they offer to go on a boat trip or fishing. With the onset of the evening open their entertainment bars, live music plays.

If you walk north along the beach area, you can walk to the wild beach. This protected area is covered with pebbles and large boulders, the descent to the water is convenient, the water is very clean.

It is very useful air, because it is saturated with essential oils. This is the main reason why tourists from all over the world who suffer from lung problems come here. Indeed, the resort is ideal for those who wish to improve their own health.

Doctors recommend rest here and those who have problems with the cardiovascular system.

Climate features

The weather in Dobra Voda depends on the season. Most of the year - and this is 272 days - here you can enjoy the sun. Summer is dry, and precipitation is extremely rare, rain is mostly characteristic of the winter period.

The Mediterranean climate allows the air temperature to warm up during the peak season to +35 С, while the sea temperature is +25 C. Despite the fact that vacationers begin to arrive in Montenegro from the beginning of April, it is cold until the end of May, because the sun is not so active, and the water reaches +17 C.

The best month to visit the resort is September, when the heat subsides a bit, the nights become cool, but the water remains warm.

sights

It should be noted that in the village itself to find sights is difficult, and if they are, they do not attract much attention from tourists. The most valuable here are air and water, which has a rich turquoise color due to its purity.

When Yugoslavia still existed, they started to build a recreational center for asthma patients nearby, but the construction was never completed. Today it is a great place for a beach holiday, the most popular beaches are the Great and Small Pyesak, which are not really sandy at all, but pebble. Both of these places are considered a conservation area, and therefore cleanliness in their territory is strictly monitored.

It is difficult to say whether Villa Abramovich is considered a landmark, but tourists also come to see it, although you cannot get too close to the building.

One of the most sought-after entertainment in Dobra Voda is fishing.

Not long ago, the ruins of an old church were found, which are located near the beach of Velikiy Pyesak in the bay. There were also found coins, which managed to establish that the building was erected in the distant IV century. While the place is not ennobled, so the find is not included in the list of attractions of today.

To the north of the village you should definitely visit the observation deck, which was opened in 2016, and its area is 200 square meters. m

All significant attractions are located in the vicinity of Dobra-Voda, among them are the following.

  • Ulcinj - a city that was once a pirate stronghold.
  • Skadar Lake - fresh water, one of the main in the country. This is a magical place with amazing nature, where you just walk well and breathe fresh air.
  • Svach - a city that was abandoned 500 years ago, today it is considered dead. From its territory it is possible to look at the Chassky lake.

Where to stay?

Tourists do not have problems with renting apartments in Dobra-Voda, because here not only hotels and numerous guest houses offer comfortable rooms, but also private owners.

There are air-conditioned rooms with TV, self-catering apartments are popular, as most tourists prefer to cook their own food at home, especially since products in Montenegro are grown without the use of fertilizers.

The most expensive villas overlook the sea, in the evening they offer an amazing view, during the day you can plunge into your own pool.

Despite the small area of the village, there are up to 150 options for settlement, including even super budget hostels.

If you want to spend your holidays in super-luxurious conditions, then we can recommend the Kalamper Hotel & Spa, opened in 2017, the hallmark of which is its own spa center and a chic restaurant. The bar is available for any visitor, but the swimming pool is only for those staying at the hotel.

All rooms have internet, satellite TV, and guests are always offered slippers and a bathrobe.

It is possible to settle directly at the beach in Apartments Sidro. Here the rooms are located just 10 meters from the sea. All apartments are equipped with TVs and air conditioning, there is a kitchen where you can prepare your desired dishes. For those who do not want to go down to the water, there is a private terrace where you can sunbathe.

How to spend your leisure time?

For numerous tourists, we tried to equip the beaches with the highest quality possible. They are distinguished not only by their cleanliness, but also by their comfortable descent to the sea, the presence of umbrellas and sun loungers. The coastal area is wide enough to accommodate all comers, there is a wild beach a little to the north from the village.

If the study of local attractions takes place by car, then you should definitely go up to the observation deck, located between the two tunnels. For convenience, the organizers have made a large parking nearby. From here there is an amazing view of the coastal zone and the village as a whole.

During the day, when the beach is too hot, you can stroll through the market or shops, where there is something to choose not only from souvenirs. They bring cheap clothes from Italy, but it is famous for its high quality.

In the evening there is an opportunity to stroll along the promenade, enjoy the view and coolness, buy a souvenir in one of the shops or just drink coffee. With the onset of night, small nightclubs open for young people, but they do not spoil the atmosphere of pacification for those who come here to relax with children.

Be sure to try the local wines, as they are distinguished by a rich bouquet.. In autumn, ripe fruit begins to appear on the markets. Fish is cooked here very tasty, it is always fresh and is sold right along the coast. If you wish, you can take yourself fishing.

How to get there?

After arrival at the airport will have to get to the village. The one located in Podgorica is 60 km from Dobra-Voda. Chartered flights that fly from Moscow, Ufa, Tyumen and some other large cities of the country often stay here. A little further, at a distance of 71 kilometers, Tivat Airport is located - here come the aircraft of the same airlines.

Directly from the airport itself, you can take a taxi or take public transport, but you will have to get to the bus station, therefore taxi drivers are very persistent. Once at the bus station, you should always check the relevance of the schedule of these flights, since changes are made every season.

From Podgorica to Dobra-Voda the road takes more than an hour, longer from Tivat - almost two hours at twenty minutes. You can take the bus to Ulcinj, as they are passing.

There is no railway branch here, only a high-speed train from Bar to Podgorica. From Bar you can get to the village by taxi.

If you decide to take a taxi, it is better to make an order in advance, because taxi drivers at the airport take expensive.

Reviews

It should be understood that the resort in the summer and the rest of the year are two completely different places. At the very peak on the beach there is no place to find, it becomes very dirty, even though the locals try to clean it often. Good-Water is a good option for early spring or even autumn, when the flow of tourists decreases, but the temperature still allows you to relax with benefit for yourself.

In winter, everything dies out here, excursion programs almost all close, as well as numerous hotels. This is exactly the time when the active construction of new residential complexes begins, so it’s impossible to be completely quiet.
