Peculiarities of skiing

Every year more and more people decide to spend their holidays not on the beach, but at a ski resort, and there are a lot of reasons for this. Active winter fun gives a lot of fun and good for health. In addition, breathtaking views of the mighty mountains, fresh air and familiarity for many are much more attractive than a ticket to the warmer climes. However, it is important to remember that skiing holidays can be dangerous. And your safety is completely up to you, because the staff of the ski resorts will not be able to fully protect you from injury.

Therefore, before you go to ski in Montenegro, be sure to read important recommendations.

  • Do not neglect the services of instructors. Many beginners think that skiing or snowboarding is very simple and they will succeed immediately. Or, friends and parents decide that they are competent enough in the survey of training, and they take everything upon themselves. However, the majority of accidents on the slopes occur precisely because of the lack of equipment and a culture of skiing, which a competent instructor will be able to instill. In just a couple of classes you will learn how to behave on a slope, learn the basic techniques. It will save a lot of time.
  • Properly evaluate your strength. If you’ve just skied or skied a couple of days ago, choose simple prepared tracks with markings and gentle slopes. Do not ride in the woods on unprepared slopes. So you endanger yourself and those around you.
  • Do not ride while intoxicated. Bars and clubs operate after the lifts are closed. Moreover, there is even a special term “après-ski”, which implies rest just after a day on the ski slope.
  • Choose the right clothes. Always dress according to the weather and keep in mind that clothing for practicing skiing is significantly different from everyday wear. On the jackets and pants must be a membrane that quickly removes steam and moisture, does not get wet. Forget about grandma's thick sweaters and wear high-tech polartek or fleece pullovers. Follow the rule of layering: first thermal underwear, then pullover, then jacket. Socks should also be special: long and with reinforcement in certain places.
  • Do not ride alone. Even large companies of tourists often share and ride separately. If you are on a simple prepared slope, this is uncritical. However, to leave alone for freeride is definitely not worth it.
  • Properly select equipment. If you do not understand skiing or snowboarding - contact the professionals from the rental or shop. The shell must be in good condition, to suit you in height, weight and level of riding.

This is a minimum of tips that should not be neglected. So you will make your holiday in the ski resort not only interesting and rich, but also safe.

Now you know that in beautiful Montenegro you can not only go on excursions and buy souvenirs. Choose active forms of recreation more often and remember that there is no better souvenir from a holiday than vivid memories and emotions.
