Park Aivazovsky in Partenit: features and location
In Crimea there are beautiful places that are not too famous. They can certainly be called "pearls" of the resort area. For example, the village of Partenit offers tourists to visit the incredibly picturesque Paradise Park. It is located in the sanatorium named after Aivazovsky, so it is often called the same.
Everyone who has been to this park calls it one of the best examples of landscape art. The stylish, well-groomed green area harmoniously combines several areas of landscape design. Here, the aromas of roses are mixed with the smell of fresh pine needles, and the variety of flora is successfully combined with the works of talented sculptors and architects. Let's get to know this amazing place.
Description and History
Park Aivazovsky - part of the medical complex. This delightful green area with ponds, waterfalls and exotic plants was created in 1966 on the site of vineyards.
The work was carried out for about 2 years. It was necessary to strengthen the coast, drill holes to optimize the position of groundwater, build terraces, create reservoirs. Gardening took place by planting young saplings, and by moving adult specimens. Designers were able to successfully combine natural vegetation with cultures brought from other places. This may explain the fact of location within the relatively young park of an ancient grove.
Olive trees are about 200 years old, which is impressive.
The creators combined elements of different cultures in the design of the territory. These are ancient Greek, Turkish, Italian, Russian and other motifs. Particularly noticeable influence of Greece. Elegant sculptures depicting heroes of mythology, amphoras and other characteristic elements ideally fit into exotic greenery.
Horse figures create associations with ancient brands. Amazing waterfalls and flower beds suggest the thoughts of the preferences of powerful khans. Comfortable benches in the shade of dense alleys recreate the atmosphere of the Golden Age of the Russian aristocracy. You can meet here and a tribute and admiration for the traditions of distant peoples. For example, there is spectacular Japanese garden.
Known that once Pushkin, Griboedov, Raevsky rested here. A visit to the park by these bright personalities also did not pass without a trace (this was reflected in the sculptural masterpieces).
As for greenery, on the territory of "Paradise" you can see over 300 different types of plants. An area of 25 hectares holds about 15 thousand trees and about 40 thousand shrubs. Most of them are coniferous crops (cedars, pines, redwoods). Many are planted with groves. There are also tropical plants. Interesting are cacti, cork oaks, large-flowered magnolias, and cunningia. Surprising, but harmonious it seems the neighborhood of different shrubs and trees with palm trees.
Numerous flowers cover the garden with a fragrant cloud of aromas. In this case, everything is thought out to the smallest detail: when some cultures fade away, they are replaced by others. For all plants provided drip irrigation.
The park is usually not too hot even on the hottest day. Numerous water facilities (fountains, pools, waterfalls, streams) increase comfort, creating the desired coolness.
Especially worth highlighting "Well of temptations." It is believed that it helps to realize any desires. To do this, lower the hand into the water, mentally concentrating on the dream. However, everything is not so simple, because the water here is icy. Hence the name of the mysterious place.
The terraces of the park offer a beautiful panorama of the village and its surroundings. This allows you to capture not only the beauty of the "Paradise" itself, but also other picturesque places of Crimea.
The territory of the park is maintained in immaculate condition. Employees monitor the cleanliness and order, condition of plants and sculptures. The name in translation means "paradise", which is completely untrue.
Visiting this place always leaves tourists a lot of positive emotions and enthusiastic memories.
Where is?
Crimean Park "Paradise" is located in the village Partenit, near the mountain Ayu-Dag. Once there was a small Aivazovskoye village. Now it is a sanatorium of the same name.
The majestic mountain, shrouded in mysterious legends, contrasts spectacularly with the green parkland. "Paradise" is not the property of the sanatorium. Therefore, to enjoy its magnificence can anyone, you just need to buy a ticket.

Tourists often complain about the inconvenience of the way from the center of Partenit to the park. The fact is that connoisseurs of such sights have to overcome a rather steep climb. To facilitate the task, you can use an electric vehicle. However, this is the property of the sanatorium, and their number is small.
If you are not vacationers in "Aivazovsky", you will need to first get to the village. You can take bus # 110 at the bus station of Yalta. From Alushta can be reached by bus number 109. The path will take about half an hour, from Yalta to go a little longer. The fare is standard.
You can also take a taxi or use your own transport. By car you can reach the park in about 15-20 minutes.
If you drive your car, you should follow the route Yalta-Alushta. Before the bus stop "Partenit" you need to turn down. Going down about 4 km to the sea, you will see numerous parked cars and a store. Parking is necessary without reaching the intersection. Otherwise you will pass by. There it will be difficult to find a suitable place.

These are dolphins splashing in water, and mysterious nymphs. Park heroes of Greek myths fit well into the recreation area with a heavenly name. Having passed the gods of the sea, a man falls into a pine grove. Here you can relax on a bench and enjoy the scent of pine needles. Natural aromatherapy is a nice bonus to aesthetic plantings.
For visitors to the park, there are separate beaches. They have numbers 5 and 6. On a hot day, you can swim here.
The main thing is not to wet or lose a ticket. Otherwise, you will not be able to get back to the park.
Walking along the sea, the tourist falls in the antique garden. There is also an olive grove. According to most visitors, this part of the park is a real masterpiece. Refined bridges, ringing streams, alpine slides, elegant gazebos - here everything causes delight and admiration.
Particularly interesting is the snow-white rotunda, specially delivered to the Crimea from Italy. Domed roof and columns harmoniously fit into the overall concept. Also, the gazebo is famous for its powerful acoustic effect (increasing the volume of the voice).
Separately worth noting Mexican garden. A riot of bright colors, succulents, fruit trees - all this creates a hot Mexican atmosphere. The zone is located in the sunniest place of the park, which is also not accidental.
But the greatest achievement of the creators of the park is Japanese garden. This is an incredibly atmospheric zone with dwarf trees and stone slides. Ponds with neat bridges, a tea house - everything here corresponds to Eastern traditions. However, the history of the creation of this part of "Paradise" is not easy.
Japanese garden
Design of the zone with a Japanese theme was conceived in 2010. The object was opened for a while, but then closed again to complete the work. Planning was assigned to landscape designer Shiro Nakane. The site was allocated a small - only 1 hectare. However, the work was carried out for almost 8 years.
Many were waiting for the discovery of this miracle and were not disappointed. Years of hard work allowed us to recreate in the resort area a real piece of Japan.
The whole landscape has been redone. Textured stones were delivered from different parts of the world. Because of the specificity, many works were done manually. Carefully laid out the steps and walking paths, carefully planted unique plants. Many cultures had to be quarantined before disembarking. Only in this way could they adapt to conditions that were unaccustomed to them.
The garden is decorated with spectacular cascading waterfalls, beautiful ponds. Camellia pleases with its delicate flowers from the beginning of winter to March. Other shrubs and trees are selected so that some replace each other in their flowering and fruiting. Of course, in the garden there are several dwarf trees (bonsai) in Japanese vases.
Man-made objects complete the harmonious composition. These are traditional bridges, lanterns, other decorative elements.
Favorite place most tourists - the center of the garden. Here is a mirror lake and tea house.
In the future, it is planned to colonize the reservoir with carp.
In general, the garden is perfect. This is a whole eastern concept, which is important to understand and feel. That is why a visit to this area provides for a guided walk.Particularly symbolic path to the house, made of hemp, located on the immaculate surface of the reservoir. Everyone passing through it should think about the importance of making the right decisions in life and attentive attitude to the smallest nuances.
The territory of the garden can be bypassed in an hour, but you will have enough impressions for a long time. As for the cost of tickets, immediately after the opening, it was very high. However, after the recession of the rush of the first months the prices went down a bit.
