You have a favorite T-shirt. Or not, not so - you had a favorite T-shirt. She bored you, got dirty, lost her shape. Sorry, have to throw it away or put it on rags. Or maybe try to give her a new life? A little imagination and perseverance - and you again have a favorite T-shirt.
You will need:
The pattern by which you will cut or cut (or a clear idea of what you are going to do).
Sharp scissors with pointed ends or a stationery knife.
A piece of hardboard or plastic the size of your t-shirt.
Hook or knitting needles, if you want to get braided cuts;
At will, decor.
You can first practice “on cats”, that is, on something completely unnecessary, or you can take a chance and immediately cut the T-shirt itself.
Variants of cuts can be divided into:
Local:
- in the area of the collar (semicircular cuts are suitable), with the gum can be cut off;
- on sleeves (vertical cuts look stylish);
- on the back and in front (at different heights);
- side (you can pick up a great option with attached canvas with horizontal cuts made from the same T-shirt or lace).
Towards:
- vertical;
- horizontal;
- diagonal;
- semicircular;
- You can even cut the patterns, if you are sure that they will look good on this T-shirt
According to the form:
- flat stripes;
- "Laces";
- intertwined, for example, in the form of braids.
Sequencing:
Decide on the location and shape of the cut.
“Put on” a t-shirt on a flat surface (chipboard, board, plastic, plexiglass) so that cuts can be made only on one side of the t-shirt without damaging the second one.
Draw a line of cuts with a piece of soap or soap.
Now the worst thing is cutting! One under another make two cuts. Try to avoid chipping.
Grasp the opposite base of the incision with your thumb and forefinger and gently pull the fabric to the sides. As a result, when you release the fabric, the cut edges will twist and you will get not flat stripes, but, as it were, “laces”.
So do with each cut strip, stretching it necessarily in the direction in which you cut the fabric - if you cut it horizontally, then pull it in a horizontal direction, in the case of a vertical cut - in a vertical one.
Then, at your request, you can already wear your new T-shirt and wear it, or you can still twist the bands together with a crochet hook.
If you want, decorate with feathers, rhinestones, beads. The main thing is not to overdo it.
Note: do not make too many cuts, the effect of the naked body in this version is not very beautiful, not to mention the fact that it is not always appropriate.
Interesting ideas for cuts on a T-shirt:
Vertical cuts on the bottom of the T-shirt or on the bottom of the sleeves. The result is a fringe that will look especially good if you tie the tip of each stripe with the most ordinary knot and decorate it with beads.
Cleaved ornament. Apply to the fabric pattern on a stencil, and then cut the pattern with small notches. The result looks particularly impressive on light things.
"Ribs". Can be placed on the back or on the stomach, depending on the figure and your courage. Make them wide at the top and tapering downwards - this will add to the image of originality.
Make several horizontal cuts from bottom to top every 4-5 cm in the side of the T-shirt, run a bright ribbon through them and tie it on your shoulder with a beautiful bow - your new completely glamorous thing is not even a T-shirt.
A very interesting variant is obtained by making several vertical cuts to the left and to the right of the neck, and fastening the resulting strips to each other with brackets located in a checkerboard pattern.
If your T-shirt has already stretched quite down, then making and intertwining the vertical cuts in the lower part of it, you can not only narrow the bottom of the stretched T-shirt, but also imitate the hippie style.
The cutouts on a T-shirt, under which or on which lace or other fabric is sewn, look very impressive.
