Danilovka in Crimea: the choice of housing and attractions

Many tourists dream of a quiet and spiritual vacation on the Black Sea coast. A great place for family travel will be a small village Danilovka, located on the Crimean peninsula.

Initially, the southern "paradise" for tourists was called Ai-Danil. According to historical data, remains of medieval Christian churches were discovered on its territory.

There is an assumption that one of them was dedicated to St. Daniel. The modern name of the village was already in the late 40s of the last century. During Soviet times, Danilovka gained fame thanks to a large state farm that produced elite wines.

Resort settlement became only in the late 70s.

A closed sanatorium “Ay-Danil” was built on its territory, in which representatives of the party elite, artists and foreign guests rested.

The location of Danilovka on the map is indicated between Gurzuf and Nikita. The distance to Yalta is 12 km.

Near the village is a mysterious Bear Mountain (Ayu-Dag), which is still shrouded in a halo of secrets.

Danilovka is considered one of the most environmentally friendly resorts on the southern coast of Crimea. The village is literally surrounded by thickets of vineyard and juniper. Local people are engaged in agriculture and provide services to tourists.

Climatic conditions in Danilovka are subtropical. Hot summer pleases tourists with sunny clear days.

The holiday season starts in mid-May and lasts until the beginning of October.

The complex stands on the seafront, and from the rooms you can enjoy a beautiful view. Modern “Ay-Danil” is considered one of the most comfortable housing options in the village.

3. medical and marine buildings.

In addition, the building has a restaurant, and is equipped with a private beach.

Since there is no huge influx of tourists in the village, there will be no housing problems for visitors. At affordable prices, you can rent a room in summer houses or cottages.

Also, locals willingly rent apartments in the summer. For holidays with children this option is the most convenient.

In the village there are not so many places of entertainment. A cozy cafe with excellent cuisine is enough. In stores you can always buy the necessary products and goods.

The heart of the village, of course, is the central beach on the territory of the Ai-Danil sanatorium. Pebble coast with well-developed infrastructure can visit all comers.

Its length is 500 meters. On the beach there are comfortable lounge chairs with awnings and umbrellas. For those who want to wash off the remnants of salt water, shower cabins work.

In addition, tourists can rent bicycles and ride on a well-equipped promenade. On the central beach running water rides.

One of them is located on the west side of the village, near Cape Martian.

Danilovka is not rich in sights.

The exception is a large factory for the production of amazing wines. Products of the Crimean enterprise are very popular not only in Russia, but also abroad.

Although, as such, excursions are not available at the factory, resort visitors have the opportunity to purchase an excellent product at a reasonable price.

You can diversify your holiday in Danilovka, having made a trip to the neighboring resort villages and cities (Nikita and Gurzuf).

There you can visit many interesting places.

1. Nikitsky Botanical Garden. One of the most beautiful places on the peninsula. In addition to the flowering park, the botanical garden is known for its research and development activities. Tourists can enjoy the beauty of amazing flowers (roses, chrysanthemums, tulips and even oleanders). In the garden you can see small ponds in which water lilies swim and fish live.
2. Bear Mountain or Ayu-Dag. It is a huge stone mountain, which amazes tourists with its scale. Ayu-Dag is a frozen volcano, experts have discovered more than 15 types of minerals in its depths. Visitors to Bear Mountain celebrate the amazing energy of the place, which “intoxicates” with fresh mountain air and amazes with its beautiful view.
3. Arbor of the winds. One of the most romantic and picturesque sights of the Crimea. Located on the upper point of a lonely rock (Shagan-Kai). The design is a rotunda, the floor of which is laid out with a mosaic of all colors of the rainbow. To get to it is quite difficult, so this excursion is undesirable with small children.

And also near Danilovka there is a reserved cape called Martian.

It is famous for its fantastic aroma created by juniper from a relict grove.
