Kastropol is also known by another name - Beregovoe. This is a small resort village, which is located in the Yalta municipality. This is a great place for a summer holiday with its "twist" and attractions.

Description

The coastal is located on the southern coast of the Crimea at a height of 77 meters. The settlement is located 10.5 km west of Simeiz, to which it belongs administratively. The population is more than 2 thousand people.

A small village in the Crimea on the Black Sea coast is located 6 kilometers from the popular resort of Feodosia, despite its size today, this is a popular resort destination.

Its popularity among tourists Kastropol owes a long sandy beach, which is called Golden. To tell the truth, it is really different when compared to the more usual concrete and pebble beaches in the Crimea, which are located in such popular resorts as Yalta, Alushta and other places for recreation located along the southern coast.

The strip of attractive coarse sand stretches from the outskirts of Feodosia and continues continuously across the coast to the seaside village. The total length of about 10 kilometers. This is the place that can be called ideal for tourists who prefer long walks along the coast after sunset, when it becomes cool.

The sandy strip here is not only large, but also an impressive width, so the place is ideal for organizing beach sports. If necessary, during the season you can easily rent an umbrella or deck chair. On the shore, small cafes stand and wait for visitors, there is a barbecue. Several institutions are close to the water, they are nice to sit and enjoy a meal with an amazing view of the sea surface.

The sand is large, the advantage of the local beach is that the descent to the sea is very convenient, and the water in the sea is warm and clean in season.

Weather

The coast is in the same latitude as Venice, so the summer temperature is similar to that present on the French and Portuguese Mediterranean coasts. Although the settlement is located much farther to the east, there is no high humidity here, typical of Greece and Turkey. Fresh sea breeze ensures comfort even in hot weather.

Throughout the Crimea there are two seasons: warm, which lasts from May to October, and cool - from November to April. Precipitation is small, on average about 38 mm in the summer and 83 mm in the cool season.

In the warm season, the temperature here is higher than that present in other Mediterranean resorts, and the sea warms up to +23 C. Tourists begin to swim actively in May, and the flow does not decrease until the end of October.

If you move west along the coast to Yalta and Sevastopol, the climate remains hot, but the landscape becomes greener with mountain forests. Here are located protected areas. The farther to the east, in the direction of Sudak and Feodosia, the more terrain becomes the area, although in some places there are large vineyards. It is from these berries that famous Crimean wines are made.

The eastern part is famous for the Kara-Dag nature reserve - a wild region with mountains of volcanic origin.

Here, the rocks have their own names, for example, one of the most famous - the Devil's finger.

The coast is well protected from the northern winds by mountains, with the result that there is no harsh winter in the Coastal. In the cool season, the temperature reaches an average of about +7 C.Very rarely, the indicator on the thermometer falls below the established norm, but this does not apply to mountainous areas where snow falls. The first flowers appear in March, and in April you can enjoy the warm sun.

The average temperature of the sea surface in Beregovoi in recent years is +15.5 C. The highest temperature is recorded in Kastropol - +14 C, and the lowest in the Black Sea - +8.3 C.

For entertainment there is a dolphinarium, where not only children, but also adults are happy to come. Be sure to visit the family Children's amusement park. Also during the season, water sports are offered on the beach: “banana”, jet skis, parachutes, etc. But for an interesting pastime and evening walks, it is better to go to the center of Feodosia, which is easy to do on the local bus number 106 or taxi.

There are no sights directly on the shore, so you will have to go to Theodosia again for adventures or buy an excursion to other parts of the Crimea.
