Novofedorovka in Crimea: weather, location and sights

Crimea is often criticized for the fact that the rest here is disproportionate to the level of comfort provided. Modern Novofedorovka is a fairly large urban-type village with a population of more than 5 thousand people. It is located on the coast of the Kalamitsky Bay of the Black Sea, and next to it are just three salt lakes - Saki, Kyzyl-Yar and Bogayly. Unlike most of the Crimean settlements, Novofedorivka practically has no history - 1992 is considered its official date of birth.

With the locality, the situation, of course, looks completely different. Two and a half thousand years ago a small ancient Greek settlement was located here. There is no data on the population of the area for the next two millennia, but it is known that before the revolution there was a dacha called "Scarlet", consisting of several buildings - hence its owner supplied healing mud to Livadia personally for Tsarevich Alexei.

At the same time, from the mid-20s of the last century, this place appears Russian village Novo-Fedorovka (then its name was written with a hyphen), which had a population of a hundred and a quarter people.

The local conditions are characterized by typical steppe characteristics: even despite the close proximity of the sea, the weather here is very arid, with winds, but almost no precipitation.

Despite the fact that Novofedorovka is significantly removed from the subtropical southern coast of the peninsula, the temperature here is not much lower - the average annual indicators are 12.2 degrees above zero. The average June air temperature is approximately 26.2 degrees Celsius, in July-August it exceeds 29 degrees Celsius. If you start from the fact that the bathing season needs a water temperature of at least 17 degrees, then this definition fits three summer months, and almost all of September.

The first establishments of this type appear little by little, but nevertheless an organized recreation of such a plan will be better in neighboring Saki.

The key point surprising many visitors is the fact that in fact, Novofedorovka is located not entirely on the seashore, but only nearby. For this reason, in the village there is no embankment in the classical sense, so typical of most of the Crimean resorts. However, it is quite possible to reach the beach from the center of the village, on foot. It is composed of a mixture of pebbles and sand, but the coastal bottom is completely sandy - this makes entering the water more enjoyable.

If we talk about the main beach, it is relatively small - The concrete pier divides the sand and pebble strip into two parts, whose length is 190 and 120 meters. Perhaps it was the modest size of the beach area that led to a somewhat unusual fact for these edges: infrastructure is organized very well.

In addition to the fact that the beach is cleaned regularly, it also includes changing rooms and showers, toilets and rental stations for various equipment. Equipment rented out is in a good condition, with vacationers usually have no complaints about its quality.

If for some reason the central beach of the village does not attract you, there are alternatives. in the form of beaches "Robinson" and "Deck". For those who prefer wild beaches without any infrastructure, but with a minimum number of outsiders, there are wild beaches to the north of the village - in the direction of Sak.

Despite the fact that Novofedorovka is just an urban-type village with a short history of existence, there is also something to see here.

Local sights are inevitably associated with aviation, because this area was a closed air base a few decades ago.
