Passenger transportation is developed both within the city and between cities and towns. The coastal surface is mostly pebble, but it is stony and sandy-pebble. Sand is delivered to many private beaches.
If you look at the map of Alushta, the coastline is conventionally divided into 3 parts.
- Central embankment. Located in the middle of the coastline of Alushta, very lively. Here, good transport accessibility and infrastructure.
- Professorial (working) area is located on the right side of the central beach, in the direction of Mount Castel - this is the western embankment. Here is the territory of private beaches, rented. The entrance here is paid, but it gives the opportunity to take in the use of deck chairs and umbrellas. Almost everywhere there are canopies and good flooring for entry and exit into the water. At the end of the Professor's Corner is a pier. There you can choose a boat for boat trips for little money.
- East Quay. You can get here from the center through the Seaside Park or bypass the right through the Demerdzhi Park Hotel. There is also a road past the hotel Porto Mare through the tunnel. You can also get here by minibus 8-D, which goes to the slipways. This is the territory of the sanatorium beaches. Admission to almost all beaches is free. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available. On children's beaches and some spa entrance is prohibited. Here the sea is clean and calm. In the afternoon, it can bring here the ooze.
Top Rated
We reviewed the most popular beaches of Alushta and gave a brief description and description of each beach.
Central (city) beach at the Rotunda
Located to the left of the Rotunda - the main attraction of Alushta. This beach is also called "Tender coast." You can come here from anywhere in the city. There is a trolley bus, a bus and a large number of different taxis. Life here is in full swing both day and night. There is a lot of entertainment for children and adults, and not only at sea.
Pebble beach with large stonestherefore, it is best to come here in shoes so that the entry and exit to the sea does not become a test for you. Who came early - that and lounger. And not everyone wants to lie on a towel, because the stones are quite large and uncomfortable, and by 10 o'clock there is practically no free space to find.
Around a lot of cafes and restaurants. There are street vendors. Many rolling points of water and beach equipment.
Here are the obvious advantages of this beach:
- free;
- good transport accessibility;
- many entertainment and attractions;
- developed infrastructure;
- there is a park area nearby;
- there are rescue points.
Without the minuses, too, has not done:
- a lot of people;
- expensive products;
- the cost of renting a sunbed in the high season is about 300 rubles, and an umbrella is 100 rubles;
- There is no wooden flooring to enter the sea.
Beach Alushta embankment
This is a continuation of the central beach that runs along the promenade. This beach is rather narrow and small, divided by breakwaters. There is not as much entertainment as on the Central Beach. The territory is equipped with changing rooms, showers, urns. There are few cafes around, but street vendors also come here. The coastal cover is medium pebble.
Pros:
- fewer tourists;
- the sea is cleaner;
- good transport accessibility;
- developed infrastructure.
Minuses:
- very narrow coastline;
- steep entrance to the sea;
- little entertainment.
"Grace" or the beach for people with disabilities
On this beach, it is convenient to relax not only for ordinary tourists, but also for people with disabilities. Convenient to go, there are awnings. Easy to hire water and beach equipment. The coast is almost all covered with dense artificial green material. Near the sea there is a narrow place of pebbles.
Benefits:
- coated ramp for a comfortable ride of wheelchairs;
- special handrails for launching into the water;
- free; admission free for all;
- canopies and sun loungers;

- good entry into the sea.
Of the minuses, we note:
- small territory;
- not many gadgets for the disabled.
Alushta children's beach
Created and owned by the Center for Children's and Youth Creativity. Sandy-pebble beach. Due to its remoteness (20-30 minutes by transport), there are few tourists. For children it will be comfortable to go into the water, build sand castles. Nearby is the Dolphinarium. There are locker rooms, shower, toilet.
Pros:
- free;
- pretty shallow sea and good entry and exit.
Minuses:
- no children's rides and entertainment;
- poorly developed infrastructure;
- no canopies;
- poor transport accessibility.
Royal beach
Such a loud name and such a weak impression leaves this beach due to poor landscaping. But the shore is shallow, the water is clean, and the air is coniferous and fresh. This place is loved by vacationers and locals. Located at the foot of Mount Demerdzhi. Beach Coating - Pebbles. Without slippers and a mattress it will be hard to rest here. Equipped minimally: locker rooms, toilets, bins. In season, a lounger rental service opens. It is located near the children's beach and is the last one on the Central Embankment.
Because of the remoteness very clean and free.
Positive points:
- few people;
- the water in the sea is cleaner and calmer;
- nearby is a botanical garden with a park area;
- good shallow entrance to the sea.
Negative moments:
- underdeveloped infrastructure;
- far from transport.
Beach Hotel Porto Mare
Located at the beginning of the East Quay. From the center runs a taxi. If you walk on foot from the center, it will take about an hour. It is considered the largest and most comfortable paid beach of Alushta. The beach is small pebble, the area is perfectly landscaped. Sun loungers with a mattress, umbrellas, showers and awnings are provided.
There is a zone specifically for children. And for kids, a territory of 180 sq. M. m with imported sand. Here music plays, animators work. There are slides and labyrinths. Works rental point of water equipment.
There is a bar where you can always freshen up, and on the second floor in the fish restaurant for lunch or dinner.

- you can spend a whole day on this beach;
- developed infrastructure;
- free inventory;
- free Wi-fi;
- have a good time with children;
- year-round;
- rescue and medical facilities;
- paths for entry and exit from the sea.
Minuses:
- entrance fee;
- poor transport accessibility.
Nudist beach
I would like to separately tell where the nudist beach of Alushta is located.You might want to visit them. There are 2 such beaches in the city. Both sand and pebble bottom. One is located in the eastern side of the Seaside Park. The second (wild) Chernov stones. This is the most extreme beach of the Professor's Corner.
How to choose?
Selecting the beach, you should consider the following factors.
- Depth of the beach. It can be shallow, deep, cut off sharply, it can be immediately deep. When choosing, consider the depth of the beach, especially if you are with children.
- Type of shoreline and bottom. Very diverse options for the structure of the coastal strip. It would not be very nice if you were planning to dig in the sand, and on the spot discovered large pebbles.
- Improvement. According to the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor, it should be equipped with sunshades, changing cabins, garbage collectors, rescue and medical facilities, public toilets, have a cleaning schedule.
- Infrastructure development. What do you prefer to see around you: a deserted beach for meditation or all the benefits of modern life for a good holiday?
- Transport availability.
- Liveliness the beach.
- What kind services are provided.
- Paid or free entrance.
Guided by such simple recommendations, you can choose the beach to your liking and have a good rest.

In July 2018, rested in the city of Alushta. Stayed in the private sector. Rented an apartment. The cost of the studio cost 1800 rubles per day. We were 4 people. I find it inexpensive. To the beach "Laskovy Bereg" walk 5 minutes. The population of the beach is very high. Hard to find a place. The beach itself and the beach very much. A lot of fun for children not only paid, but also free. A lot of good impressions from the water park. We want to visit the Crimea this year.

We are having a rest with my boyfriend for the second year in Alushta. We stayed in the boarding house "Neva". To the sea on foot past the hotel "Porto Mare" through the tunnel 8-10 minutes. Beautiful quiet, well-maintained beach. If entertainment was needed, they would go to the city center. If you want to save on accommodation, it is best to book for six months in advance. I liked the tour “Jeep Tour to Demerdzhi Mountain”. This year we want to travel by car along the Crimean coast.

Rested in 2017 with the children. In advance we did not book accommodation. Upon arrival at the bus station we were surrounded by a crowd with various offers of housing options. The cost of housing was from 300 rubles. per day per person. Chose a two-bedroom apartment near the beach, about 20 minutes walk.
The cost at that time was 1200 rubles per day. The first day went to the central beach - a lot of people. We mainly went through the tunnel near the hotel “Porto Mare” to the eastern embankment. It is very quiet and peaceful, almost all beaches are free. Alushta is associated with beautiful views, the smell of pine needles and the sea.

Rested in Alushta in August 2018. Stayed in the private sector. There was a feeling as if we were plunged into the Soviet past. Old Soviet buildings, trolley buses. We went to the beach on the eastern embankment. Very well maintained and clean. All beaches are separated by breakwaters and belong to a sanatorium. We mostly went to the beach of the Horizont Sanatorium. It is free and there are quite a few people. For entertainment, we went to the center, and there we found an inexpensive supermarket. We had a very budget holiday.

The whole family went by car to Alushta. Stayed in a private guest house. What we liked: unique nature, clean air, aura of calm and comfort, clean clear and very warm water, clean beaches, good responsive people. What did not like: very high prices for food and gasoline, no chain stores, little entertainment for children (except the central promenade), poor food in canteens and cafes, bad roads, no parking. I recommend the city of Alushta, if you want a quiet and relaxing holiday.

In July 2018, she visited the city of Alushta.Traveled by car, so in this city we stayed for 3 days, and then further along the Crimean coast. I did not like the central beach - a lot of people and high prices. But the rates for boat trips were pleasantly surprised. A lot of boats and boats. Were on excursions "Mystery of the Marble Cave" and "Valley of Ghosts". Liked it, but quite expensive.
We liked the beaches of Semidvore, which are close to Alushta. I saw pistachio groves there for the first time. The sea is very clean and the coastline is wide and clean. There are affordable prices and not so many people.
