Crimea is associated with beach seaside recreation, but Sevastopol is often considered an ordinary naval city. But there are some suitable beaches there - the main thing is to know their features.

Best city beaches with a description

If we talk about the city of Sevastopol, the indisputable fact is that it allocates almost 40 beaches. Some of them are covered with sand, others are covered with pebbles. There are those places that are prepared for sea leisure artificially, and not created by nature itself.

An overview of such sites is advisable to start. from the beach "Victory Park"that in the Gagarin district. Thousands of tourists and locals rush here. In addition to the beach, there is a small one next to it. "Student" Park ". Through it will certainly have to go along the road to the shore. Families with children often walk in the park, its territory is very well equipped. The attractiveness of the park area is enhanced by the fact that it is divided into medium-sized alleys, made in the style of various parts of the world.

It is rather easy to descend to the sea, but we must bear in mind that the coast is covered with small pebbles, and there are many hidden stones in the water.

Beach "Victory Park" is owned by the city and has a rescue station, shower cubicles, luggage storage for things. Nearby is a bus stop.

Having moved 300 meters away, tourists find themselves on the beach. "Omega". This is a fairly long shallow bay. Swimming here is justified only in June. Due to the rapid warming, algae and other dangerous microorganisms spread in the water. But in the first part of the summer, "Omega" is great for having a rest with children. The beach will delight those who decide to combine leisure at sea with visiting discos, restaurants and cafes.

Tourists can take advantage of many other sites. Among them stands out beach "Sunny"located near the ancient Chersonese. To get there, you must go near the park named after Akhmatova. The fence, set on the border of the beach, separates tourists from the sites of historical excavations.

Find the "Crystal" area of the coast is easy - Near it is a monument dedicated to the ships submerged during the Crimean War. Mostly elderly people and tourists who stay in the city center rush here. The beach is designed as a concrete pier. Descent into the water and rise from it occur on the stairs. The water at the coast immediately becomes deep, the depth is at least 1.5 m. The beach is equipped with changing rooms, awnings, and lifeguards.

The distant area from Sevastopol, called Balaclava, is in fact also part of this city. The main beach of Balaclava is located in its center. Nearby there are many cafes and restaurants with fish cuisine. The disadvantage of this part of the shore is a fairly significant amount of dirt.

It is advisable to move to the opposite side of the bay, where the sea is cleaner.

For a holiday in Balaclava, you can choose another "Silver" and "Golden" beaches. You can get there by sea taxi. In these places, the water is much better, but it is rather cold. Having a rest on the “Golden” beach is always a little bit, and this is due to the fact that the coast comes close to the mountains.

Search for sandy beaches should be in the northern part of Sevastopol. It is there, for example, that the famous “Uchkuevka” is located. This band is very long, and reaches almost the very Saki district. Small ferries depart to the beach from the city center, and the flight is also combined with a guided tour.People aboard the ferry can enjoy the view of the city and the bays.

The beach is covered with soft sand of small fraction. It is convenient and comfortable to lie on it, even without bedspreads or deck chairs. Entry into the water should be as careful as possible. Near the shore at the bottom is a strip of large gravel. Sun loungers and areas sheltered from the sun have been prepared at Uchkuevka for quite some time. There are cafes and small restaurants. You can taste traditional cuisine of the peoples of Crimea, including the Tatars.

Speaking of the beaches of Sevastopol, you should definitely mention the beach "Fiolent". This name he received in honor of the cape on which it is located. A remarkable feature of "Fiolent" is that it serves as the end of the western branch of the Crimean Mountains. It is not easy to arrive at the cape - the distance to the city is 5 km.

To get there people with prams, and even with just started walking children, it will be difficult if there is no private car.

The descent down to the "Fiolent" takes place along the paths and on the home-made stairs. The water around this cape is very clear. Its cooling due to underwater currents is almost impossible. Since there are no apartment buildings nearby, and there are few visitors, the sea is not clogged, the heat of the water is maintained by the Yalta Current.

In Balaklava district is located "Jasper" beach. The width of such a stretch of coast does not exceed 450 m. However, this does not prevent it from having high popularity. "Jasper" beach is covered with pebbles. Already about 100 years ago, a staircase was built here that allows access to the St. George Monastery. Landscapes in this part of the coast are very picturesque.

The northern border of Sevastopol can boast of the no less demanded “Fat Man” beach. He received his name in honor of Cape Thick. The size of the coast in this place is 200 m, and at the same time it is divided by a number of breakwaters. A little further is the "wild" section of the coast. At night on the beach "Fat Man" is a disco, and in the daytime there are stalls and small shops.

You can get to “Fat Man” by taxi or by your own car, in addition, regular bus services also go there. It is impossible to make a mistake - the stop is exactly called Fat Beach.

As for the beach "Blue Bay", it appeared as a result of an ancient volcanic eruption. Near the beach are Cape Chersonese and the village "Cossack Bay". The nature in these places is primordially wild and original. So far, business has not had time to master this place, but part of the townspeople have already launched a brisk trade in Blue Bay. The strip of the coast, covered with pebbles, stretches for 300 m - it is framed by amazingly beautiful rocks. Although the beach is very roomy, they will not allow to set up a tent and place a brazier here.

You can go to the "Blue Bay" by car or public transport. If a bus is chosen, then you should come to Menshikov Street, and from there you need to get to the Mayak-2 stop.

The local population rents rooms for daily rent there and a good hotel is located nearby.

Those who liked the "Uchkuevsky" beach should test its continuation - the beach of the village Lyubimovka. The total length of this section of the coast reaches 3 km. Gradually equipped beach gives way to wild space. Most likely, this place will appeal to lovers of everything non-standard in the Crimea. The main part of the beach is well equipped in terms of infrastructure. It is recommended to go to families with children. Little holidaymakers can swim in the lagoon of St. Valentine. Tourists have access to umbrellas, deck chairs, sun beds and showers. Since the sea is relatively shallow here, and the descent to the water is uncool, swimming here is safe. Travelers will first have to get on a boat coming from Grafskaya Wharf, and then take a bus, with the exit at the Perovsky State Farm bus stop.

Beach "Orlovka" is very large, it stretches up to several kilometers in length. The bottom in this part of the coast is quite nice, and the water is clean. No wonder these places are called the "Gold Coast". Nearby there is a lot of housing for rent - not only apartments and private houses, but also hotel rooms.

It is customary to divide Orlovka into 6 different sites. There are no physical barriers between them and it will please fans to walk long distances. The coast is covered with sand there, but in some places there are small pebbles. The flat steppe is sometimes replaced by slopes, on which red clay is clearly visible. Because of it, during storms the water becomes dirtier.

Beach "Orlovka" is divided into approximately equal sections of the river Kacha. The depth of the sea in different places can vary greatly.

The territory near the garden community "Beach" is very steep, and it is necessary to go down there on a high ledge. The path there is asphalted, which makes the path much easier, a thick shadow falls on it from the surrounding trees - this is very pleasant, especially in the heat.

“Soldier’s” beach is considered very attractive to locals and travelers. More recently, he belonged to the "wild" category. It was all about the poor development of infrastructure and the difficulties of arrival. Since 2017, the situation has changed. From the geographical point of view, the “Soldier's” beach serves as one segment of the Admiral Bay coast.

The widest and latest tidyed platform, closely adjoins the river port. The name of the beach is due to the fact that before there was one of the air defense units. When the military left their object, it became very quiet here, but the name at the beach does not change. Now on the "Soldier's beach" appeared rescue posts, equipped toilets and cafes.

The territory is constantly maintained in order, a lot of people rushed here, and the old atmosphere of romantic wildness disappeared completely. In this part of Sevastopol, sedentary water is very warm.

Moving in the water should be careful, because sometimes there are big stones.

Seasonal leisure is modest, and so far it is limited to several water slides, catamarans and playgrounds. You can get to the “Soldier’s” beach by bus of route 81, which leaves from Nakhimov Square. You need to go to the final point of Omega-City - then the tourists have to go along Chesnokov Street and turn right at the first opportunity, and then head north-east.

To continue the review of the Sevastopol beaches is on such object as "Aquamarine". Formally, it is open to any tourist, but in practice, priority is given to guests of the hotel of the same name. Search the beach on the map of Sevastopol is necessary in the neighborhood Pilots. Victory Park and the Cadet School are located nearby - it is worth starting from these landmarks.

Those who are not staying at the hotel can only stay on a towel and swim in the waves. To use the beach infrastructure, you have to pay extra money. At the peak of the season, even for an additional fee, there is no comfortable rest, because many people come and come here. The length of the beach is 150 m, and the width is no more than 30 m. The shore is covered with smooth, not too coarse sand. The entrance to the Black Sea waves is gradual, and even where the sand at the bottom is replaced by pebbles, the discomfort is minimal.

In the absence of experience in overcoming such sites, you can walk barefoot along wooden paths.

The territory is cleaned several times a day, so the water becomes cloudy not because of the dirt, but because of suspended sand.

The next item in our review is Bounty Beach. This is another part of the popular Cape Fiolent. Contrary to its name, it does not create the same impression as a distant Pacific atoll. In the north, "Bounty" goes to the beach "Turtle", and from the south it borders on a part of the coast called the "crocodile edge". Problems with the orientation of the tourists here arise regularly.Sometimes only locals can determine exactly where one part of the coastal strip ends and the other begins. As a reference point, you can choose the Grape Cape and the complex of lighthouses. From these lighthouses "Bounty" is located farther than from the cape. Near the lighthouse, you can also relax on the beach, but in both places the descent is unthinkable without special rubber shoes.

The bottom of the sea at the "Bounty" is covered with stones. The coastline itself is not too wide. The only thing that unites the beach with the famous tropical island, is a crescent shape. The slopes of the coast a little distance away are very steep and there are not so much palm trees, but even just flowers.

"Marble" beach, in Balaclava, can not boast of an abundance of entertainment and additional services. But this does not prevent him from maintaining high popularity. The reason for the poor arrangement is that recently it was a military object. On the beach there are toilets, awnings and lifeguard posts. But the flaws are fully justified by the incredible view of Cape Aya, located far away.

Kaczyn beach has other advantages. - it has a clear sea, which is convenient to enter, but the coast itself is covered with pebbles and is not too wide. Finding a place in the summer for sunbathing is difficult. The embankment located nearby is well landscaped and decorated, there are many cafes and shops.

Near the grotto of Diana is another beach area. It is suitable for recreation, it is only conditional, since it is covered with large pebbles. Going into the water is extremely inconvenient, the descent into the sea is covered with large stones. At the same time, the sea is quite clean, and it is easy to inspect the bottom. Since 2018, a solid staircase has been installed for descending to the beach, and viewing platforms are very convenient for watching the sunrises and sunsets.

In Balaclava, there is another excellent beach, called "Vasili". It is appreciated both by Crimeans and people coming from afar. The beach space is small, but on the arrangement of the coast worked very thoroughly. There is a shop, rental of deck chairs and umbrellas is available, changing cabins are prepared.

It is advisable to complete the review of the main places by the “Tsarsky” beach, located in the vicinity of the elegant Cape Fiolent. Passing along the shore is often impossible without presenting a pass. The excitement of the sea is practically absent there. This part of the Sevastopol coast is beautiful not only on the surface, but also under water. Amateur scuba divers willingly come here, even from other regions.

Swimming places in the vicinity

Since Sevastopol is very well developed, there are few truly wild sites here. Most of them only adjoin the space equipped with this or that infrastructure.

The most attractive wild places:

  • “Sandy” beach separating the bay of the same name and the Omega Bay;

  • "Wild Omega", located next to the Cape "Sandy";

  • "Cossack Bay", which is the least equipped and has the most inaccessible beach space in the city-hero.

Wild and nudist beaches occupy mainly the northern part of Sevastopol.

To get to the nudist beach, lovers of such leisure will have to get away from the city.

The entire shore on this side is distinguished by smooth entries into the water. Stones, and especially boulders, are not there. You should search for really wild zones right behind “Lyubimovka”.

Another example of such a site - "German beam". There, the coastal strip is quite narrow and rests on precipices composed of red sand. Local landscapes create a feeling of the Martian surface. Despite the mass of sand, the sea here is clean. The only infrastructure available there is a store with a meager assortment.
