Since 1921, the village was part of various administrative units: parish, county, district. In 1926, the village of Kara-Tobe included 33 yards, and the population was 196 people.

In 1935, the Presidium of the CEC of Crimea issued a decree on the establishment of the Saki district, and the village was listed as part of it. After the liberation of the peninsula from the fascist invaders, the resettlement of collective farmers from certain regions of the RSFSR began, and in 1950 from the Ukraine.

By decree of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR in 1948, the village of Kara-Tobe became known as Coastal. Since 1962, the village was part of the Evpatoria District, after the abolition of which in 1965, the Coastal entered the Saki District of the Crimean Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

The modern village of Pribrezhnoye includes about 16 streets, 3 lanes and the residential area of ​​Morskoe, as well as the local railway station. Population is about 680 people.

Three kilometers to the west of the regional center of Saki and 10 kilometers south-east of Evpatoria is the coastal station. The village itself is located at the beginning of the spit, which separates the sea and the lake Sasyk, and the beaches are located between the Simferopol highway and the Black Sea, that is, formally located outside the village. Coastal is the closest from Simferopol place with sandy beaches, which can be reached without much difficulty.
