The village is located directly on the coastline, so it is attractive. At the same time to the district center - the city of Saki, on the highway 48 km, but it is much further than the city of Evpatoria (26 km), where the main entertainment of the west coast and railway station are located. There are no mountains and forests, with plenty of water: The storm stands on the Black Sea coast, from the north it is demarcated from its nearest neighbor, the village of Popovka, Lake Oybur, and from the south it separates the Adzhibaychik lake from Veteran.

Until 1977, this village was called Frunzevka, and even earlier - Voznesenovka, which began its history from a Russian settlement in 1901. But back in 1784 a small Crimean Tatar village was born here, which later became empty.

Today, Storm is a young, quiet resort with a population of about 1,300 inhabitants, in which there are only 30 streets. The infrastructure is quite well developed for a very small village: there is a regular bus service to the nearest settlements and Yevpatoria, there is a clinic, dentistry, school, markets, shops, pharmacies. What is missing is an ATM. Only cash is available here. The nearest ATM is located in Evpatoria. In addition to a quiet measured rest on a clean beach and the sea, Storm attracts lovers of balneotherapy.

Speaking of the climate of this place, it is worth recalling that this The steppe zone is a place where the winds walk, there is little rainfall and there are no saving thickets of trees where you can hide in the shade. Due to the smooth deepening of the sea, the water warms up faster, and already in the second half of May, the first bathers among the guests of the resort appear, and by the beginning of June the swimming season is gaining momentum. In September, the heat subsides, and the air and the sea are still very warm.

Despite the fact that the village is called Storm, vacationers are rarely encountered with storms, which bring algae and marine debris on the coast. Basically, the sea is very clean, calm. The dirtiest beach is considered closer to Popovka, in the Storm itself the beaches are clean and well maintained.

This place was chosen by divers. Even two kilometers from the shore, the depth of the sea is no more than 20 m, and the water is very clear with excellent visibility. Fans of scuba diving claim that in this place under the water remains of the settlement remained. But there is no confirmation of this information, but the Soviet transport vessel “Volga Don” is really there. In the second half of World War II, the ship was captured by the Germans and sent to Sevastopol. But on the way, so that the ship did not get the enemy, the Soviet submarine fired a torpedo and sank the Volga Don.

• From the Kurortnaya bus station, which is located opposite the Simferopol railway station, there are two flights to the Shtormovoye bus station: at 12.00 and at 18.25 (travel time is 2.5 hours). Please note you need to search for flights to the bus station, and not before turning.
• From Evpatoria to the bus station Storm there are 6 flights in the schedule. And to get to Evpatoria from Kerch or Simferopol there are no problems at all: it can be done both by bus and by train (electric train).
• You can risk taking the bus to Popovka (or Mirny), but there are some nuances: either walk from the turn to Storm, or go back from Popovka. The entrance to the sea is very gentle - to a depth of about 100 meters.

If the sea is calm, the water is unusually clear. After the storms, the situation changes slightly. But in the second half of the summer, as well as throughout the Crimean coast, there is a huge amount of jellyfish here. They do not cause physical anxiety, children love to play with them, just a lot of them.

In the village there are 3 beaches: at the hotel “DelMar”, municipal and at the recreation center “Storm”. The first beach is considered the noisiest: there is always music, entertainment. By the beginning of the season, umbrellas and showers, sun beds and toilets are installed. Every 150–200 m, there are organizers of attractions (catamarans, bananas, and so on), cafes, ice cream, souvenir tents. Yes, on the municipal beach there is not always enough sun beds, and there is glass in the sand. But you always want to ask: who threw him there?

Recently, several beaches appeared on the municipal territory: “Vega”, “Crab”, “Rainbow”. According to those who have already managed to rest there, the most convenient is the "Crab", including for the disabled. More recently, it was reported that an open-air cinema was installed on the beach.

A favorite activity of tourists is the promenade along the embankment. But we must remember that this is a village of 3.5 km in length, and not the 15-kilometer quay of Gelendzhik. It is, but it is just a street with the same name, which runs along the sea, without any special decorations.

On the outskirts of the village there are some more interesting places for sunbathing and recreation. Lake beaches, guests also appreciate. Lake Oybur is separated from the sea by a sandy strip. At the same time, the water in the sea is much cooler here than on the beaches of Storm. But in the lake with a depth of 1 meter, it warms up very quickly. Getting to the beach of the same Evpatoria, you will be pursued by the same problem: no matter how you step on anyone, how to take a lounger. In Storm, these problems, fortunately, do not yet exist.

Probably, vacationers did not get to know much about the place of rest before the trip. Storm is a place for a quiet family holiday where children play safely on pure sea sand or on water rides.
