It is believed that this area used to be used for walking cattle. This is indicated by the old name of the mountain formation - Venerable Poike. The word "poyka", translated from the ancient Iranian language, means pasture. As well as an array called Biyuk-Kai.
Archaeologist O. I. Dombrovsky found that in the period from the 9th to the 15th century there were about 6 settlements in the rocky plateau. Evidence of such a statement was discovered during a thorough study of the terrain. Due to the unique structure created by nature itself, and a special geographical location, the inheritance is reliably protected from enemy attacks.
Some historians believe that the locals began to build strong protective walls after the peoples of the Khazar Kaganate attacked the land. Crimeans also tried to protect themselves from nomads and Tatars. Despite all the efforts, the ancient settlements were destroyed by the Turks about 2.5 centuries ago.
