Overview of the "Cheese" rocks in the Crimea
In the holiday season, Russians tend to warm lands, to the sea. If you chose a place of rest in Crimea, and you are planning not only to swim and sunbathe, but also to get acquainted with the beauty of the peninsula, then you should visit Malorechenskoye.
What is famous Malorechenskoe village?
A small village is located in the southern part of the peninsula in the territory of the city district of Alushta. The population, according to 2014, is just over 1,300 people. It would seem that can attract tourists to a tiny settlement? And inquisitive vacationers here all go and go. For a long time nobody here is delayed, but the flow of visitors is increasing every year. The fame of the locality brought the reserved rock chaos Tuzlukh.
Stone salt shaker
Tuzlukh from Turkic is translated as "salt shaker". Nature created a rock complex with a lot of “holes”, very similar to the holes for salt in the salt shaker, hence the appearance of the name. Wind and salty waves worked to glory.
Quartzite sandstone under the influence of cellular weathering has turned from an ordinary rock into a unique miraculous landscape miracle.
In 1960, part of the coast with an unusual rock was recognized as a nature reserve. From now on, the local monument is protected by the state. The total area of the protected zone with the coastal water area is 60 hectares. Here it is impossible:
- litter and make fires;
- organize picnics;
- to fish;
- beat off particles of rock.
But you can:
- swim and sunbathe;
- climb the islets;
- dive off the cliff, take photos and video.
The official name of the rock complex is Tuzlukh, however, tourists have another name - Cheese Rocks.
Unusual "cheese" rocks
Rock chaos represents several interconnected objects. First of all, it is the mountain itself, dotted with bizarre cracks and round blind holes. For the safety, tourists passing along the rock along the narrow path adhere to the “cheese” holes. There is no other such mountain in Crimea. The view of the coastline facing the sea is very peculiar. If someone in a spacesuit appeared against his background, one would believe that he was on another planet.
Travelers who visited Malorechenskoye shared their photos on social networks. So the village became famous. Now, the most curious and greedy to the unexplored holidaymakers consider it their duty to get to the protected rock and capture themselves on its “holey” background.
Islets, grotto and bay
Opposite the famous cliffs and in its vicinity numerous boulders rise from the water. The dimensions of the islands protruding from the sea depths make it possible to settle on them and sunbathe. With boulders it is convenient to dive, videotaping and photographing friends climbing the main attraction.
Curious can inspect the grotto or even swim into it. You can refresh yourself after a short walk in the cleanest waters of the Blue Bay.
Lovers of extreme sports have become frequent guests of the complex. They climb to a suitable height and dive into the clear water. The depth of the cove allows jumpers to dive a few meters without fear of hitting its bottom.
By the way, a few years ago, when the place wasn’t so well known, loving couples retired here. And the coastal reservoir bore the name of the Bay of Love.
How to get to the Cheese Rock
There is no asphalt direct road to the sights. Therefore, by car to get to the rock itself will not work.We'll have to walk, but not far.
Access to the Cheese Rocks is possible only from the sea. A path leads to them, starting at a monument erected in memory of those who died in the Great Patriotic War of Malorechens.
The monument is installed at the entrance to the village. From it you need to go in the direction of the Lighthouse Temple. And there already along the sea edge to a small cape and the destination itself.
What will the legend tell?
The events described occurred a long time ago, when the village of Micropotamos was located on the site of modern Malorechensky. In those days, people worshiped numerous gods who settled on Olympus.
The gods were not perfect. Like ordinary mortals, they loved and hated, argued, quarreled, took revenge, and built wiles.
Two celestials - Aphrodite and Apollo - were proud of their irresistible, impeccable physique. In the behavior of the gods appeared arrogance, stiffness, disregard for their own kind. The wife of Zeus, Hera saw disrespect in this behavior, and, being a kind of powerful and cruel, decided to punish the sign.
Hera arranged that on the ground in Micropotamos two little little men were born - a girl and a boy. She watched as children grew up, saved them from injuries, illnesses and other troubles. According to the idea of the goddess, people born with her intervention should become the most beautiful in the whole wide world. She longed to prove to Aphrodite and Apollo that there were those who surpassed the gods in beauty and perfection.
Young people grew up and loved each other. And the fame of them reached the heights of Olympus. The gods did not believe the rumors about people and their virtues. They decided to go down from the mountain to look at the handsome.
The result was deplorable for a guy and a girl. Celestials loved people: Aphrodite - a young man, Apollo - a girl. Apollo stole the young maiden and lived with her for several years as his wife. Apollonia (as the girl was called) gave birth to a son of heaven.
The young woman was not deceived by the attention and caresses of the handsome god. She remembered her lover and waited for the moment to return to her lover. And this moment has come. Taking with her son, Apollonia returned to Micropotamos.
Aphrodite also failed to achieve reciprocity in man. Embittered gods decided to punish people. They destroyed everyone who at the time of revenge was in the settlement. The houses were completely destroyed, the people - turned into stones and thrown into the sea.
It is possible that the boulders of the Cheese Rocks protruding from the water are enchanted people. Keep this in mind and be extremely careful with stone islets.
