Modern couturiers are not obsessed with this noble material and are actively experimenting with lace, cotton, nylon, batiste, viscose, awnings, velor and other types of knitwear.
In addition to the base material from which the peignoir is cut, velvet and various embroidery techniques are used to create its decorative elements.
The main requirement for the fabric is comfort, hygiene and hygroscopicity, that is, the ability to absorb moisture in itself, which is especially important when windows and balconies are open on an airy summer night.
