Cats of this breed are very cute and beautiful, purple color gives them a refined aristocratic look. Even the nose and paw pads are lilac in color - they have excluded mixing and the appearance of some other color besides their own, in this case lilac. Another color is not allowed not only on the animal's hair, but also on other parts of the body (tail, ears, paws). You can meet representatives of this breed, who will have a slightly lighter shade on the undercoat, but still there won't be much difference from the main color.
In kittens up to three weeks old there is a small spot on the body; by it you can see and understand what color the cat was with which the cat was crossed. However, over time, this stain disappears, and the color becomes smooth and uniform. Eyes in lilac Scottish lop-eared cats can be golden or orange, there is also a copper color of eyes, this is permissible, and is considered a sign of the breed.

These are amazing cats, in one animal two different temperaments can be combined. In childhood, they are energetic and playful kittens, in a more mature - imposing quiet and calm cats. The representatives of the Scottish Fold cats have a medium-sized body, proportional and with soft curves, strong legs, their pads are wide, the tail is long and always flat. The head is round, the cats have thick, pronounced cheeks. The ears are triangular and small, the tips are lowered, the eyes are large, rounded, their color may vary depending on the coat color. Mostly due to the head and muzzle animals of this breed are easily recognizable.
Weight animals can reach up to 6 kilograms, an average growth of 30 centimeters. The average life expectancy is 15 years, if you carry out the prevention of diseases and with a good pedigree, the cat can live to 20 years.

Maintenance and care
Due to their lazy nature, these animals do not require special care, but as noted above, laziness comes to them with age. Kittens, on the contrary, are very mobile and playful, therefore it is better to prepare the house in advance for their appearance.
- Purchase a toilet tray and food and water bowls. Determine where you will stand. It is very important to teach a kitten to its place from an early age in order to avoid problems with an adult pet in the future. Some breeders bring with them a little familiar to the kitten filler.
- Prepare a place to rest the animal and special claws. This will allow him to feel at home and get used to the situation, and thanks to the scraper, your upholstered furniture and walls will remain intact.
- Get toys for a kitten, they are just necessary for him. Isolate him from all household appliances and their wires, at best he will bite the wires, at worst a short circuit may occur and the animal will get hurt.
Caring for animal hair does not require much effort if you regularly monitor it. It is enough to comb cats once a week, and during the period when the cat will molt - daily. The ears are cleaned and the claws are cut once every 2-3 weeks; it is enough to bathe the animal once every six months.
Twice a year, visit the vet for prophylactic vaccinations and checkups.
One appearance and lifestyle suggest that these animals love to eat, but it is important to ensure that they do not overeat. Both dry and wet ready-made feeds and natural products are suitable as feed. If you and your pet give preference to ready-made feeds, they should be no lower than premium and from trusted manufacturers. And also there is a specialized feed for this breed, where all the necessary components are already selected in a special proportion.
When preparing a diet of natural products, it is advisable to first consult with a veterinarian or experienced breeders. The meat should be lean, and pour it with boiling water before feeding, it is advisable to give the sea fish in the form of boiled and deboned. Dairy products and eggs serve as a source of calcium to strengthen the teeth and claws of the animal, the kittens menu, of course, need to include milk. And be sure to include in nutrition vitamin and mineral supplements.
