Perhaps nothing shows the true age of a woman so much as her hands. Lack of proper care, sun and wind, chlorinated water and cleaning products have the most disastrous effect on the skin. But this is not a reason to despair - it is possible to turn back time. For this you need only once a week to carry out the peeling procedure, and then very soon the hands will again become tender and velvety.
What is peeling?
From a technical point of view, peeling is a simple polishing of the skin, in which the layer of dead cells is peeled off, thereby improving blood circulation and a rejuvenating effect.
Procedures can be deep, medium and superficial, while the greater the number of skin layers is removed, the more deep is the peeling.
As a simple grooming procedure, superficial exfoliation is sufficient, and for more significant problems, such as age-related changes, burns or scars, deep impact is necessary.
Salon Peeling
Most often, peeling is done in salons, this is one of the most popular procedures in the market of cosmetic services.
With age, the body of a woman begins to change, unfortunately, not for the better. The skin becomes dry, leading to ugly wrinkles. In addition, many of the fair sex are faced with such an unpleasant phenomenon as age spots - these and other problems bring to the fore the task of maintaining the attractiveness of the skin on her hands. This can help effective salon procedures.
Depending on the exposure option, there are several types of peeling:
- mechanical - at the same time, the main impact is made by a cosmetologist with his own hands using special exfoliating agents;
- hardware - similar care is carried out with the help of ultrasound, laser or cryotherapy;
- chemical - involves the use of various fruit acids.
A professional beautician selects the option of procedures that are optimal for each specific skin type.
Chemical
Acid peeling is based on the effects of acids, which help to effectively deal with the first signs of aging skin. After applying them, the skin gets burned, but the stronger this burn is, the faster the regeneration of the integument will begin.
This procedure requires little preparation. 2 weeks before the session, you should stop any UV treatments, including a visit to the tanning bed. If contact with sunlight is not avoided, then it makes sense to apply a protective coating in the form of photo-protectors with a class of at least 20SPF.
It is advisable to carry out chemical peels in the winter, when the activity of the sun's rays is minimal. As a rule, chemical polishing involves the impact of a moderate degree in several basic steps:
- cleansing the treated skin area and its complete disinfection;
- the application of several layers of the active substance, usually for this purpose trichloroacetic acid is used;
- moisturizing.
To achieve the desired effect, you need a course of 5-8 procedures.
Sessions are recommended for women over 35 years old. The main indications for chemical peeling are age-related changes. The result of visiting the salon will be smooth skin without protruding veins and wrinkles.
For girls of 25-35 years old, chemical peeling is also used, but it is usually superficial, and retinoids or glycolic acids are used as the active substance.To achieve smooth skin, 2-3 sessions are usually sufficient.
Mechanical
At its core, this procedure is micro-grinding, while the beautician massages the problem area with the use of an active substance, usually magnesium oxide, with massaging movements.
This procedure is aimed at removing the surface layer of the skin, resulting in improved blood circulation, stimulates the production of natural collagen, as a result, rejuvenating processes are launched.
Experts recommend taking a course of at least 4 procedures, one every 7 days.
Hardware
These procedures involve the use of ultrasound, which is directed to fight wrinkles and impaired skin pigmentation.
Cryotherapy has a good effect, which appeared in the 60s of the last century, but it only recently developed in cosmetology.
Such care involves the use of liquid nitrogen or dry ice. In the first method, the temperature drops to -190 degrees. Cold air, penetrating deep into the pores, effectively dissolves all sorts of impurities and cleanses the skin. As a result of such exposure microcirculation of blood and lymph is accelerated, which leads to the regeneration of the skin.
The use of dry ice involves contact with even lower temperatures - up to -700 degrees. Cosmetic cold contributes to the rapid rejuvenation of the hands, which results in a smooth and velvety skin of the hands without any spots, roughness and irregularities.
More recently, beauty salons began to offer a rather original procedure - it is peeling with Garr Ruff small fish. These are representatives of the carp family no longer than 12 cm long, which are widely used in cosmetology due to the following features:
- fish can remove the stratum corneum without any mechanical damage;
- Diethanol is contained in their saliva - this substance promotes the healing of microcracks;
- in the course of their life, the fish produce a special mucus, which has a slight moisturizing effect.
For the procedure, the legs or hands of a woman are placed in a special aquarium with warm water heated to 30-35 degrees. For one session, you need about 250 water animals, while not using any cosmetics.
To achieve the maximum effect, you should complete a course of several similar procedures conducted at intervals of 2-4 days.

Not every girl can afford visiting expensive beauty salons, but this is not a reason to despair - there are many simple, but effective peeling options that can be used without leaving home and spending a minimum of time. Optimally, if such care is carried out weekly, after achieving the desired effect, the interval between treatments should be increased to 10 days.
