The existence of sneakers presumably began at the end of the eighteenth century, when shoes became available to the people on a rather dense, rubber sole, which did not have a specific separation between the right and left foot, which, in turn, caused certain inconveniences.

A little later, around 1895, the first shoes with spikes on the sole were born, and in 1892 the first sneakers were made - rag shoes with a thick rubber sole.

German sportswear manufacturers began manufacturing the appropriate footwear in 1920, so the first Adidas sneakers were born. As already stated, the shoes were intended solely for sports running.

Sneakers among athletes enjoyed some success, and after the movie “Rebel Without a Cause” was released, where the main shoes of the main character were sneakers, these shoes became massively used in everyday life.
