Makhnev summer in the Crimea! How many wonderful, memorable, fascinating travels began with this appeal. Budget vacation, no need for special advertising route, the opportunity well, modern relax in the Russian-speaking environment - this is a very popular request. Crimea is ready to meet guests all year round, but, of course, having the opportunity to visit the peninsula in the summer, it is silly to refuse it.

Climate features

The summer months in Crimea are an opportunity to plan your vacation to the smallest detail, paying attention to any of its components. Whether it is a “lazy” beach holiday, trekking, visiting outstanding architectural monuments and museums or a trip to the Grand Canyon, everything will have the weather in the Crimea in the summer.

The main epithets that can describe the Crimean summer are: dry, windless, hot. But still, the peninsula is a fairly large area so that the weather does not differ a bit on it.

Crimea is climatically different in the steppe part, the foothills and on the southern coast.

  • Steppe part. It is most arid, with little precipitation. But because of the increased gusting winds, the swimming season at sea here ends earlier. The average temperature (depending on the month) ranges from +24 to +30 degrees Celsius. The sea in this region is shallower, and therefore it warms up more quickly: due to the most “favorable" average water temperature, a huge number of tourists come to this part of the peninsula.
  • Foothills. This area is as cool as possible. The temperature here rarely rises above +25 degrees, the maximum temperature indicators of water will be the same.
  • South coast. For recreation, this peninsular territory is considered, by all accounts, the most comfortable. And walks, and swimming, and sunburn - everything contributes to the climate of the southern coast. The average temperature will be around +27 degrees. But here the stuffiness and aridity, as in the steppe part, will be smaller. The water in the sea warms up to +24 degrees, it cools down for a long time - you can actually swim until November.

However, the charm of the Crimean climate can spoil a little upwelling (rising of deep waters). It is in the summer months that the heated currents can be replaced by cold currents. Because of this, the sea cools down sharply to +15, or even up to +10 degrees. Most often this phenomenon is observed on the south coast.

Weather for months in the Crimea may also vary.

  • June. Summer begins here in May, which means that in June it will finally go down in law. The weather is as comfortable as possible for holidaymakers. Ubiquitous greenery, floral aromas create the necessary fleur, associated with carefree rest. There are no hot spots yet, the scorching sun will appear later, because if you are going for a family vacation, there is no better time to find. If you do not tolerate the heat, but you want to relax in the Crimea, go in June. At the beginning of the month the mark on the thermometer will be around +25 degrees, by the end of June it will rise to +30. Night walks will not allow to freeze.

The warmest areas for swimming this month are in Sevastopol, Saki, Evpatoria.

  • July. This month there is a real heat wave on the peninsula. By the middle of summer, the temperature mark will be already above +35 degrees. The weather is almost windless, which is not very good: the risks of sun and heat shocks increase. Therefore, security measures that protect against such an active sun, vacationers must comply immaculately. It is necessary to bathe more often in the morning and in the evening, as well as to walk: in the afternoon such exits are difficult for transferring. But neither high humidity, nor heat, nor calm, tourists, it seems, do not frighten at all. On the beach and during this period it is difficult to find an empty seat.

The hottest sea in July is in Kerch and Feodosia. At night, the water temperature is about 22 degrees, because swimming with the stars is quite common in the Crimea.

  • August. And this is the hottest month of the Crimea. On some days, the thermometer shows the temperature over +40. And even when it gets dark and night comes to the island, the temperature drops only a couple of degrees. The hottest resorts this season are Sevastopol and Yevpatoria, in Yalta and Alushta a little cooler. Being in the open sun is simply dangerous, because security measures in August only increase. The heat begins to slowly subside only by the end of the month. The water is very warm - up to +27 degrees.

Of course, those who do not have the opportunity to plan a vacation for June, the mildest summer month in the Crimea, will be happy to break out here, even in hot July and August. However, if you transfer the heat well, then a rest in July and August will not cause any critical comments.

Where better to relax?

There are a lot of hotels and pensions on the territory of the peninsula - choose to your taste and wallet, book in advance and get a comfortable rest. But to rent housing in the Crimea did not become less, people still travel as "semi-savvy", find themselves a house or room, denying the more expensive hotel comfort.

The choice for a tourist in which particular city to rest is rather complicated - there are many attractive places here.

Yalta

On the southern coast of the Crimea is one of the sunniest of its resorts. The natural beauty of this area is impressive, the cultural heritage will rip the tourist from the beach loungers - there’s really something to see.

At the end of the 19th century, Yalta became a fashionable resort among aristocrats. Last century was built here Livadia, Vorontsovsky, Massandrovsky palaces. The mansions fit perfectly into the mountain landscape. Here is the famous "Bird home", Gothic castle, which is more than 100 years old.

But the nature of Yalta does not need to fight for the attention of the tourist, it is impressive and striking diversity: Crimea's most famous mountain, Ai-Petri, is located here, the Uchan-Su waterfall is also nearby. Palm trees and cypresses, magnolias and wisteria do not grow here as an exclusive, there are many of them, they create an unforgettable look of the city.

Finally, many people want to go. on the famous Quay of Yalta. Today it is a modern resort area, where there are restaurants, cafes, and attractions - all for a rich urban holiday. And some tourists go to Yalta seduced by the famous Yalta cable car - a hill on which the whole city opens in full view.

Kerch

And this is the most eastern and at the same time the most ancient city of the peninsula. On the territory of Kerch there are several ancient sites of ancient settlements, and the artifacts found on their excavations will be very interesting to see at the local museum.

Kerch is a hero-city, this alone suggests that history lovers who prefer to combine active tourism with a beach holiday will have something to do here.

Evpatoria

Another famous resort city. Good beaches with golden sand and not very deep seabed make tourists come back here again. On the territory of the resort there are monuments of historical heritage and famous mineral springs.

Theodosius

Since ancient times, this city proudly bears its name (unlike other ones that have lost their original names). Fans of Aivazovsky consider it their duty to visit his historic homeland, for the development of which the artist has done a lot. Often they come here to children's sanatoriums, whose level is growing year by year.

Koktebel

The water in the Koktebel Bay heats up in the summer a little earlier than in other areas of the Crimea, in the fall it is still warm for bathing. There are relatively cheap prices that are in demand. spa centers. There are often gastro tours and even wine tours.

Hotels here are still very young, they were built about 15 years ago, so you can count on modern design, quality service. Here, in Koktebel, is M. Voloshin Museum.

There are many places in the Crimea that are interesting for tourists: Alupka, Balaklava, Gurzuf, Bakhchisarai, Mishor, Utes, Sudak ... Not one summer you need to explore the cities of Crimea fully, on a large scale.

What can I see?

They go on holiday not only for swimming and chic tan, I want to see beautiful places, see the sights, touch the history. Finally, tourists are attracted to nature, they do not see anything like this in their realities and latitudes, and the horizons that have opened up are worth it to arrange such a vacation for yourself.

Top 10 Crimean attractions.

  • "Bird home". The famous Gothic structure, which can be counted among the main business cards of the Crimea, was built in 1912. It stands on a cliff at Cape Ai-Todor, near Yalta. This building has a prototype - Villa Miramare near Trieste.

Now strengthen the rock, as the weight of the structure leads to the destruction of the rock.

  • Ai-Petri. This is not the highest mountain of the peninsula, but the most famous, picturesque, bright. A cable car goes to the mountain, it is known for being the longest unsupported span in Europe. From the top of the mountain offers a breathtaking view of the entire southern coast of Crimea.
  • Marble Cave. This is a karst cave, it is located near the village of Marmara. Its venerable age of several million years does not stop the development of the cave - it continues to expand. This is how young Crimean Mountains are formed. There are several halls in the cave, the total length of the tourist route is one and a half kilometers.
  • Foros church. It was built at the end of the XIX century on a rock that is located at an altitude of 400 m above sea level. The temple was built in memory of the train crash, the royal family almost died in this disaster.

For a long time in the post-revolutionary years in the temple was a restaurant, only in the 70s of the last century, it ceased to exist.

  • Assumption cave monastery. Another interesting place where history is intertwined with nature, and as a result creates an incredible object. For the Orthodox, this is a shrine, for those interested in history - an art object. The monastery was founded according to available data in the XIII century.

The establishment of Soviet power led to the closure of the monastery, in 1927 an earthquake occurred, which destroyed buildings. Only in the 90s of the last century restoration work began on this place.

  • Grand Canyon of Crimea. This is a state reserve, you can come here by car, but more often tourists enjoy sightseeing tours. If you are primarily interested in landscape attractions, be sure to visit this place.

  • Nikitsky Botanical Garden. To consider it yourself, will take more than one hour. The garden is located near Yalta, on its territory is active research activities. The merit of the appearance of the garden can be attributed to Count Vorontsov, who drew the creation of the botanist Bieberstein.

Of course, there may be a dozen more items on this list, which are hardly inferior to the ones described above. It is necessary to visit the museum-panorama “Defense of Sevastopol” with the children, look at the monument to the flooded ships - it is impossible to pass by, go to Ayu-Dag - and what about it?

Leisure for tourists with children
