The specks of a touch on clothes are a nuisance that affects both adults and children. Schoolchildren, students and office workers who use office corrector on a permanent basis are particularly affected. Fortunately, in almost any case, the stain can be removed from the fabric, even without spoiling it.

Studying the composition

Getting rid of white spots should begin with a study of the composition of the corrector, which is usually written on the bottle. Determine it completely is not possible, because more often it is the secret of the company. There are certain chemical compounds that are present in any corrective composition, regardless of manufacturer. These include calcium carbonate and titanium dioxide, as well as highly refined gasoline. However, the main criterion is the base, and its composition can always be found on the label.

There are several variations of "putty":

  • water based;
  • alcohol based;
  • oil based;
  • on an emulsion basis.

In addition, there is a dry concealer, so in no case do not panic and do not use the first tool that came to hand. It is better to first understand what you are dealing with. The technique will be about the same, but the cleansers are different.

Ways to remove different stains

Having determined the composition of the corrector, select the appropriate method to remove contamination. The sooner you start cleaning, the more efficiently you will deal with the problem. The easiest way to clean the dry or water-based concealer, the most difficult is the oil-based options.

Water corrector is eco-friendly, harmless, safe for children and people with allergies. It does not smell and copes well with paper of any quality, and in the case of drying it can be diluted with plain water. Unfortunately, the water bar dries for quite a long time - up to 1 minute and does not tolerate low temperatures.

Water corrector

The alcohol-based corrector dries quickly, is able to be contained even in the cold, but, like any alcohol-containing device, is quite dangerous. If used improperly, it can easily ignite, it also smells quite sharply, so they need to be used with special care. Often, such a corrector is sold complete with an alcohol-based solvent with which you can reanimate the dried solution.

Emulsion or oil based putty combines the properties of two other varieties. It is considered the most resistant, dries quickly and has a high frost resistance. Separately distinguish the dry corrector - a dry composition in the form of a tape, which is located in a convenient coil. Using such a stroke, it is not necessary to wait long for it to dry, but with it you will not be able to correct the errors and errors of small size.

"Putty" oil-based

In addition, there are liquid and dry "putty". The first are corrective fluids in a plastic bottle with a convenient brush, as well as pencils / pens refilled with corrective fluid. By the dry - strokes, rollers, inside of which is placed tightly twisted tape with a tightly applied dry composition.

Water based

To wipe off a water-based tool, you need to carry out a few simplest manipulations:

  • First of all, dilute the laundry soap or laundry detergent in a basin with as cold water as possible (touches of this type are afraid of low temperatures);
  • soak clothing in liquid for 20-30 minutes;
  • then stretch the item into a typewriter, including a program suitable for this type of fabric.

As you can see, removing stationery putty will not be difficult. Even with black trousers the spots will completely disappear. In addition, there is another way:

  • wet speck with ice water;
  • then put a few drops of lemon juice on it for 15-20 minutes;
  • then wash the item in the typewriter.

Remember that the splash of the stroke is completely wiped out only when there is a preliminary soaking. Do not try to scrub the "putty" - it only absorbs deeper into the fibers.

Alcoholic

The essence of the elimination of such pollution is as follows: it must be soaked with the same that is in the basis of the corrector. If you are trying to wash off a alcohol-based touch from a jacket at home, first wait until it is completely dry and, in the meantime, pick up an alcohol-containing remedy. Then carefully try to scrape the paint off the clothes mechanically: using a nail file with a soft abrasive coating, an old toothbrush or some kind of blunt-angle object.

Spread the item on a flat surface, placing a clean, non-coloring cotton cloth or several paper towels under the wrong side. It is important that the lining does not shed. Wipe the remains of the stroke with a soft surface movement with a cotton swab, or a cloth moistened with ethyl alcohol or denatured alcohol, alcohol-based cologne or vodka. This action can be repeated twice. Complete the procedure in the usual washing machine procedure.

You can also quickly remove the pollution, for example, from the pants, if you wash clothes in warm water, to which ammonia is added.

Do not forget to pre-treat the surface of the pants with an ammonia solution and place the cotton wool soaked with it for 10-15 minutes.

In some cases, nail polish remover will help. The dense material used for making jeans, you can try to handle through the use of refined gasoline, which can be bought in the store. Soak the cotton wool, hold it on the stain for 2-3 minutes, and then send the item to the washing machine.

Oil

If you want to clean the corrector on an oil or emulsion base, prepare a clean cloth, cotton wool and a solvent - kerosene, acetone, white spirit. Oil is difficult to clean, so you have to use chemicals. First, check the grout on the joints. If the fabrics do not lose color and are not deformed, then you can proceed to the treatment of the contaminated surface.

Wet the space around the pollution with water - so the stain will not spread and retain its borders. Use a cotton swab to wipe the stains twice with a methodical movement: from the edges to the center. And the third time - from the wrong side. Do not rub solvent into the material! Then wash the product in a typewriter using liquid powder in combination with a fabric softener. Do not forget to ventilate clothes.

If the solvent spoils the fabric, it is better to turn to the professionals and take them to dry cleaning. You can also try to treat the surface with a solution of water and ammonia (2 to 1 ratio). There is a possibility that the usual dishwashing detergent will help - apply it to the wetted area, leave for an hour, and then proceed, following the usual algorithm.

In the same way, a solvent based corrector can be eliminated. The only difference is it is better to process the stain on the wrong side. In addition, when faced with this type of "putty", soak clothes in warm water for half an hour, then add a stain remover and wash the thing manually. Next, follow the above algorithm.

Dry

To wipe off a dry tape corrector, do the same as in a water-based stroke situation. Soak things in soapy water for 40 minutes, and then wash in a typewriter on a delicate mode.The tape will quickly soften and quickly move away from clothes, then it will be necessary to carry out the minimum processing.

If desired, before washing wipe the thing with a brush. After the washing machine from the corrector will not remain a trace.

Additional tips

It is recommended to follow some simple tips for high-quality cleaning of things from the corrector:

  • do not even try to remove the concealer from delicate fabrics such as silk, wool, satin, velvet (and other fleecy patterns). In case of failure, you simply lose the thing, so give up independent experiments;
  • if the corrector is liquid, you must first absorb the excess with a dry or wet cloth, and then wait until it is completely dry;
  • soak clothes better for 10-15 minutes in water at room temperature;
  • Do not rub the corrector until it is completely dry. So, on the contrary, you will “drive” the substance into the material deeper. In addition, the area of pollution will increase;
  • try to handle the fabric from the wrong side, especially if you are working with a solvent;
  • at the end of the procedure, be sure to dry the item in a well-ventilated place;
  • if the resistance of the fabric is in doubt, then spend a "test drive" in a hidden area, for example, the seams, or on a fragment of similar material;
  • the fresher the pollution, the easier it will be to cope with it;
  • When cleaning the concealer, try to stop using high temperature water. Boiling water will only aggravate the situation - the corrector will “brew”, so it will be almost impossible not to eliminate it;
  • do not use bleach and stain removers;
  • remove small specks with cotton buds, not discs or cloth patches;
  • Means that are used to “dilute” the dried line can also be used to remove stains from clothes. Use them according to the instructions. However, it is not worth risking with thin and delicate fabrics;
  • pure acetone is used in cases of absolutely white things;
  • washing water can not be very hot, but it is better to set the “drum” turns high;
  • in an emergency, when the stain needs to be removed immediately, and there is no solvent at hand, try to remove the “putty” with some kind of colorless alcohol;
  • To prevent trouble, give preference to a ribbon stroke or water-based;
  • It is not recommended to process clothes with perfumes or toilet water - they have a persistent odor that is difficult to get rid of. In addition, they contain little alcohol, so the result will be weak;
  • working with solvents, constantly follow the rules of fire safety. It is better to handle clothes in the fresh air, or at least do not forget to air the thing;
  • gasoline is not suitable for synthetic clothing because it dissolves fibers;
  • before dry cleaning do not wash the thing.
