French manicure or jacket, as it is called for short, is the most popular version of the nail cover. It fits any dress code, looks great on both long and short nails, is neat, doesn’t lose its appearance, but when it grows it gives it a well-groomed look, while it is very elegant. With such a mass of advantages there is only one drawback - it can get bored, as it looks rather monotonous.
Appearance history
French manicure is a rather “adult” type of design: it was invented in 1976 in Hollywood. His appearance is connected with the fact that under each outfit the actresses had to repaint their nails and wait for them to dry out, and this greatly delayed the filming process. And then it was raised the question of creating a reference, universal manicure, which would be combined with any clothing. So there was a jacket, which is known today to every girl.
However, the modern nail service offers a huge number of design options, including for those who do not want to change their french. First, the French manicure can be performed perfectly in any combination of colors: from neutral to bright, neon. Secondly, even traditional shades of jacket can be diversified with rhinestones, sparkles, stones.
Rhinestone Design
Still retains the leading position in popularity of the decor of the ring finger (the so-called king-nail), the rest of the fingers made traditional French manicure. The design on the ring finger can be absolutely anything: from monograms and flowers to marble and geometry. Sometimes a monochromatic coating with a pattern of rhinestones is used, less often a complex ornament, where the stones perform an accenting function.

The main coating does not have to be monotonous: you can make it marble or paint monograms, and the pattern can be either one or two tones darker than the main shade, or it can be contrasted with it - it all depends on your desire.
"Smile" can be decorated with sparkles, covering them with white lacquer. The density of the coating can vary from completely opaque to a slight hint of gloss. In addition to sparkles, you can use a silver "mirror" rub and apply it to the area of the free edge of the nail plate, creating a futuristic, space manicure.
French perfectly combines with white, cream or pale pink modeling, which can be issued only a nail on the ring finger, or two nails on each hand. A spectacular solution will be a combination in the same design of the French and moon manicure.
Despite the preferred shades for this design - pastel, delicate, nude, - nothing prevents to make the free edge bright.
Shape and length
White jacket can be performed on the nails of any length and shape. It is not necessary to cut a clear square free edge - this may well be an oval shape, a soft square, and almonds, and ballerina's pointe shoes. Moreover, the acute-angled square is a very “dangerous” form, because it does not fit every hand.If you are not sure that your fingers will look good with the square edge of the nail plate, then it is better to choose a softer, rounded shape.
French manicure can be performed even on the shortest nails.whose length of the free edge is about one millimeter. However, it should be noted that, despite the seeming simplicity of the service jacket, it is much more difficult to accurately execute it than many intricate designs.
Any flaw in execution - the asymmetry of the "smiles", their different width, uneven display - immediately catch the eye, because there are no other details in this design. Therefore, it is so important to choose a master with sufficient qualifications to perform this simple (in appearance) and elegant manicure, because it should look appropriate.
Inaccurately sawn shape can turn graceful fingers into square "shovels", and crookedly laid out "smile" will give the manicure a cheap touch. Therefore, before you give your pens for applying to them of any kind of design, you need to familiarize yourself with the qualifications and works of the master to whom you plan to go.
