Manicure with beads is the design of nail plates with small balls (bouillons) that turn a monochromatic lacquer coating into a real work of art. The size of the products ranges from tiny caviar beads to larger ones - rhinestone. This type of manicure is called caviar.
Its peculiarity is that when it is used, the style of the marigold can vary: from daring sports to elegant strict. Ease of execution allows you to use caviar manicure at home.
Training
Nail beads can be of different sizes, colors and shapes. But they will look beautiful on the hands only after preliminary processing of the nail plates.
To do this, you need the following tools:
- tweezers;
- nail pad or orange stick (using a blunt flat end);
- scissors;
- file
The formation and length of the nail is adjusted with scissors and a file. The cuticle is removed after softening. For this, hands are dipped in a salt bath (1 teaspoon of salt per 1 cup of warm water) or nail plates are greased at the base with olive or other vegetable oil. After 5-10 minutes, the softened cuticle is gently removed with tweezers, pushing it back with an orange stick or spatula.
Design choice
Caviar manicure involves the use of tonal varnish, and with its harmonious combination with bouillons, a beautiful and complete composition is obtained. It can be beads of different colors or plain bouillons. It must be remembered that the larger the product, the more carefully they are attached to the nail plates. Therefore, for this type of manicure need a fixer or a special colorless glue. The second option is preferable, because the outer part of the beads remains intact, and they look very elegant and stylish.
The formation of the picture begins with the selection of the sketch. You can come up with a pattern yourself and draw it with colored felt-tip pens on paper or use ready-made drawings. Broths are selected exactly in accordance with the selected compositions.
A very beautiful combination is obtained by combining large beads-crystals with smaller ones. It can be strict straight lines or curved lines, dots, flowers, petals, necklaces, branches, or abstraction drawings.
It must be remembered that the decoration should be made out until the varnish or glue has dried. If the broths are very small, they will cover the entire nail plate, then the adhesive base is not necessary, but all actions must be carried out quickly so that the beads can be “pressed” into the coating until it is completely dry. Beads are laid out in advance on a light napkin or a white sheet of paper. If the coating is uniform, then it is better to pour the broths into a container with high edges.
Tools and materials
At the initial stage it is better to make compositions of beads from monophonic fine material.
For caviar manicure you will need the following tools and materials:
- base coat (varnish base);
- colored varnish;
- bouillons of one or several colors, of the same or different size;
- a dots (nail stick with a metal ball at the end) or an orange stick;
- glue or fixer.
The actions are carried out in stages, the quality of the coating depends on their accuracy, which, if skillfully performed the manicure, will firmly hold onto the nail plates for up to 1-2 weeks.The broths constantly “strive” to cling to the edges of clothes, hair and objects, therefore it is not possible to keep the composition in its original form for a long time. If the beads come off in large numbers, while the pattern loses its original shape, then the coating is completely removed from the nails. The decoration is made again or use a different type of manicure so that the hands “rest”.
How to do?
After preparing the nail plate comes the turn to put the beads.
Caviar manicure is performed in stages:
- peeled nail plates are applied with a base coat;
- when the lacquer base is completely dry, nails are covered with colored lacquer;
- you need to wait until the tonal coating dries, if you need to glue beads of different sizes;
- a layer of colorless varnish is applied on the dried colored varnish;
- until the glue base is dry, quickly draw a pattern, distributing the beads in the right places with an orange stick or dots.
With monochromatic broths that will completely cover the nail plate, the process is greatly simplified.
- Apply a varnish basis on nails.
- As soon as it dries, the nails are covered with colored lacquer, which harmoniously emphasizes the bouillon.
- While the varnish is not dry, fingers are immersed in a container with beads.
- Quickly and gently remove excess bouillons adhering to the edges of the nail plates, using an orange stick or dots.
- You can additionally apply a fixative to the beads so that they hold on better. But they get a glossy shine, and the original effect is lost. Therefore, manicurists prefer to use it as rarely as possible.
Beautiful and properly decorated caviar manicure favorably complements the accessories and outfit of women. It is important to follow the chosen style so that the clothes and decorations on the nails are successfully combined with each other. Sports and nautical themes imply more daring and vibrant designs, business style requires strict, unobtrusive lines, and romantic mood successfully reflects patterns in the form of necklaces and colors.
For the application of complex drawings, it is better to visit the nail salon and watch the master's actions. At home, you should start with simple patterns or a single-color coating with small bouillons, and when acquiring the necessary skills, you can proceed to the design of more complex compositions, while it is desirable to use no more than 3-4 beads colors.
