In order to easily repeat the manicure model from the podium, large manufacturers of cosmetic companies offer low cost and easy to use products. One of these products is special crystal dust.

Crystal dust or rubbing is a special tool in the form of a dry powder that went on sale a few years ago. It received its name for using such a powder, rubbing it into the decorative coating of the nail plate, although dust can be used in other ways. A manicure created with the help of such a powder shines brightly and shimmers in the light, resembling the surface of a mirror or polished metal.

Unlike conventional sparkles, it looks more restrained and very expensive. With such nails you can go not only to any celebration, but just to work in the office.

In addition to the usual rubbing, such dust can be applied dotted and even draw with it using patterns with a special brush. Make such a manicure at home is much more difficult, because the procedure requires experience and considerable skill, especially in the case when it is performed with your left hand. At the same time, both expensive rubbing and cheaper options quickly dry and shimmer with each movement of the hand.

Such a soft gloss is achieved due to the size of the pigment from which the dust is made. Particles are so small that the human eye is not able to divide them into individual particles, so they see such a coating, as shine and overflow. In addition, a lot of rubbing has the additional effect of strengthening and moisturizing the nail plate due to ceramides included in their composition.

Initially, only two rubbing shades, resembling the brilliance of silver and gold, went on sale. Over time, the quantity and quality of these coatings has increased significantly. To date, there are several varieties of similar material, each of which creates its own special effect.

Such dust appeared the very first, but still remains one of the popular varieties. With its help, a perfectly smooth coating resembling chromed metal is achieved.

A softer overflow allows you to achieve a "pearl" rub, which is often imposed on a light and even transparent varnish or gel, but sometimes added to a dark design.

This tool allows you to create the effect of shiny scales on the nails or wet sand. To do this, it is applied point to the entire nail or part thereof. If you rub this powder, you can get a softer gloss, which retains its unusual overflow.

Using crystal dust is quite simple, because it does not require a special tool, and the whole procedure can be carried out independently. Step by step instructions look like described below.

• First of all, you should prepare the nails to cover. To do this, cut the cuticle, give the nail the desired shape, walk on the nail plate with a soft buff and apply a base coat.
• One or several layers of colored varnish or gel of the chosen color are applied on the base. The less dense the texture is, the greater the number of layers that must be done to obtain a smooth and smooth surface.
• The top coat is applied to the varnish, which does not have a sticky layer. This is very important, because rubbing dust on the sticky layer just will not work. Dot application rubbed-flakes can be made on a sticky layer.
• Then you need to dip the brush or finger into the mirror powder, press it to the nail and rub the dust in a circular motion until you get the desired effect.
• The finished manicure should be covered with two layers of the finish with a sticky layer and removed after drying.

Of course, strict rules for using rubbing, depending on the length of the nail plate, simply do not exist. However, the same effects look different on short and long nails.

Short nails prefer a softer shine or the most dramatic color transition. A great option would be to use "pearl" rub or holographic dust "prism".
