Manicure for the modern girl - the procedure is almost mandatory, without it, most women will feel insecure. Well-groomed nails are an integral part of the holistic image of the fair sex, they reveal her inner world and indicate the elementary desire to monitor their appearance. There are many approaches to performing such a procedure, but recently a combined manicure has become increasingly popular.

What it is?

Many girls who have not previously come across this concept mistakenly believe that it is supposed to simply use a combination of colors (as opposed to the most classic monochrome manicure), but in reality “combi” is something else.

First you need to understand that nails can be processed by completely different methods. Someone got used to the fact that the same cuticles are cleaned by hand with ordinary nail scissors, others in the salons are more likely to be machined. At home, a manicure often does not involve any additional procedures, representing exclusively the restoration of order with the nails, and for expensive masters, cosmetic treatment is combined with wellness and softening procedures. All this is called the different types and techniques of manicure, but some clients for certain reasons can not make a clear choice in favor of one particular technique.

Accordingly, a combined manicure, by definition, is a procedure that combines the different features of individual techniques, so that you can achieve an optimal result in all conditions. For obvious reasons, only a qualified master who has all the necessary equipment and has been trained to use it can perform such nail care.

Advantages and disadvantages

The advantages of the combined manicure are not so numerous, but they are very significant - that is why the demand for such a procedure has only increased in recent years. There are, of course, disadvantages, but first things first, but let's start with the good. First of all, the very fact of combining various techniques and techniques allows us to take all the best from each one, and at the same time we eliminate the reasons why the choice of a particular technique is not obvious. Thereby combi-manicure could be called the best technique, if only its description was not so vague.

Another remarkable advantage of choosing in favor of a combined manicure is that, unlike all competing techniques, it allows you to choose the optimal conditions for you. This option is suitable for everyone since it does not consist of a specific set of tools and actions. - you simply appeal to a good master, state to him your wishes and possible concerns, and he himself decides how to achieve the desired result. Thanks to this, even the fair sex, who not even long ago could not even dream of it because of too hard cuticles and sensitive hands, can make a manicure today.

However, there are drawbacks as well, and it is they who are the reason that the combined manicure still has not supplanted the “classic” techniques. One of the important drawbacks is the tangible duration of the procedure. - although such a manicure is softer and more pleasant, it is possible that an active, constantly busy woman simply does not have enough time for it. If you want to give preference to just such a manicure, get ready for the fact that now this procedure can stretch out for half a day, and not be limited to the usual hour.

While the combined manicure is often praised for its ability to meet the ideal needs of each individual client, we must not forget that in practice it is not always so simple. Millions of girls and today use the services of not expensive salons, but self-educated skilled workers who provide such services right at home.

The technical security of such a master can be quite limited, in the home salon there is not always all the possibilities to achieve the perfect combination of manicure methods. At the same time, even professional beauty salons will not always prove to be a worthy alternative - their services are more expensive, and even the flow of people willing here may turn out to be such that it’s not easy to get through to the master.

A completely separate topic - the qualifications of the master who deals with manicure.or rather, his ability to select the right combination of techniques. The fact is that a master is usually judged by his or her own knowledge of a particular technique, ideally by several technicians, but even the ability to do a manicure in different ways does not mean that he clearly understands your special needs. Incorrectly selected sequence of individual operations or a mistake in choosing or abandoning certain steps can lead to the fact that a person theoretically capable of making you a perfect manicure actually does more harm than good.

From the above, it turns out that it is possible and even necessary to try a combined manicure, but not in all cases it will immediately turn out to be a panacea. Sometimes you need to alternately resort to the services of different masters to find, indeed, good, and to appreciate the benefits of such a procedure.

Kinds

Although different types of combined manicure suggest almost any combination of manipulations, in fact, this concept includes only three main types of this cosmetic procedure. Each of them deserves to consider it more closely.

  • The combination of hardware and trim techniques (so-called dry manicure) is used in situations where the overgrown cuticle turns out to be rather dense and firm. Because of this, it can be quite difficult to remove the cutter, but the latter is still needed because it is convenient for processing the side rollers of the nails. Accordingly, the sides of the nail are treated with a cutter, and already with the cuticle work with nail scissors.
  • Hardware or trimming technique can be combined with the so-called European. The peculiarity of the latter is that in this case the cuticle is usually pre-softened (because the method is also called “wet”) with the help of special cosmetics. Since these tools only soften, but do not completely dissolve the cuticle, it is necessary to resort to the help of scissors or a milling cutter - this gives reason to call the combined method.
  • Cut or hardware manicure can be combined with various SPA-technicians. Perhaps this type of procedure is more expensive than others and takes more time, however, if you need special care for your hands, it is practically the only option. The actual spa treatments can be quite a few, but most often various hand masks are used, or paraffin therapy is used.

Performance techniques

Many of the fair sex prefer to do a manicure yourself at home - if your skin and nails are not too demanding to care, then it is quite real.Another thing is that the perfect manicure is unlikely to be done immediately, so you have to train for some time with not the most successful results. However, it is worth it, so consider step by step how to properly make yourself a manicure for beginners.

The first example would be a combination of trimming with hardware - this technique is most often used by masters at home, and just by girls who want to take care of themselves on their own. To begin with, hands and tools should be thoroughly disinfected to prevent possible infection. After that, with the help of special solvents, the old lacquer coating, if any, is removed. Nails peeled from nails are filed with a nail file to give them aesthetic shape.

After that, they proceed to the most difficult part of the treatment - removal of the cuticle itself. First, a special thin cutter removes its lower layer, as a result of which it lifts, as it were. After that, the master carefully cleans the surface of the plate from the remaining dust and removes the main part of the implanted cuticle with the help of nippers. The final removal of this part of the nail is made using another milling cutter - spherical, thanks to it, a smooth edge is achieved.

In order not to infect the infection, it is recommended to leave the tiny part of the cuticle nevertheless, however, the master with the help of a special metal pusher moves it back to make it as thin and invisible as possible. Thanks to the last operation, the nail bed is maximally lengthened, and now it is possible to apply strengthening products or a new lacquer on it.

If we consider the combination of a cut manicure with a European one, in general, the procedure seems very similar - in particular, first you also need to remove the old coating and file the tip of the nail plate. The principal difference is the method of removing the cuticle, which in this case is treated with softening cosmetics, after which it is removed with an orange nail stick.

Due to the fact that the cuticle becomes much softer, the procedure is greatly simplified: firstly, there are no obviously uncomfortable sensations, and secondly, the removal process itself is controlled much more carefully, because the chances of injury are minimized. However, if you are already interested in such a combined manicure, you should pay attention to a certain minus: with all its merits, the European technique begins to give a long result only after three to five sessions, and before that there is often uneven and unpredictable growth.

Design options

The final chord of any manicure is the application of a varnish to underline the unique image, and the combined one is no exception. This technique does not imply any restrictions in the choice of tone or pattern, because you can use absolutely any idea. However, there are certain unspoken rules that help choose a win-win design option or avoid common mistakes.

Small nails are usually not advised to overload with large drawings with an abundance of details - because of this, and so small nail plates will seem even smaller. In this situation, monochromatic lacquer (with glitter) or simple patterns of relatively small size will look much better. A good solution would be to focus on one of the fingers (usually using the ring finger for this purpose) - with all monotonous nails, one on each hand is made with colorful patterned or with a specific pattern.

Traditionally, a manicure is much more glossy than a matte one, but the latter is not only not tasteless, but also very elegant - even though it is always appropriate and never considered defiant. An additional advantage in favor of such a decision is the fact that it has not been harassed, it is one of the easiest ways to stand out without excessive shrillness. Another interesting option is to use two varnishes of the same shade on each of the nails.one of which would be glossy and the other matte. Such work involves considerable subtlety, the master must have extensive experience and a confident hand, but the result in the best examples provides a fascinating effect of the texture of the nail plate.

As for the more complex drawings, they are usually applied only on long nails. The client herself will choose a specific image to his own taste, but it is worth remembering that in this case the nails will become another mirror of the soul. For this reason, it makes sense to choose the image that is somehow connected with the life of the girl herself.

Care Tips

Numerous comments from both the clients and the masters themselves indicate that the correct, timely and regular care of the nails simplifies each subsequent manicure procedure.

So that nail care instead of use does not cause harm, pay attention to the recommendations relating to their treatment at home.

  • Do not throw your own cuticle - remember that periodically you need to remove it yourself, even without going to a specialist. Ignoring this recommendation, you will be forced to resort to a repetition of manicure more often, and the procedure itself will be more time consuming, expensive and uncomfortable.
  • Remove the cuticle with special tools. It is advised to do this in one motion so that it comes off with a solid stripe - if done correctly, it will maintain a decent appearance for a long time without the formation of burrs.
  • It is unacceptable to carry out the removal of the cuticle with bare hands or with the help of sharp nails - there are special cosmetic tools for this task. In the absence of proper care for them (first of all, regular cleaning and disinfection), you risk putting an infection when removing the cuticle, so the disinfectant should always be at hand.
  • Remove the cuticle is much easier if you regularly moisturize it with a special oil. Moreover, the same procedure somewhat contributes to improving the appearance of this part of the nail. Humidification should be carried out daily, even several times, and it is very undesirable to break the regularity - it is enough to skip just a couple of times, as the cuticle will return to a hard and unattractive look.
  • Although the cuticle can spoil the appearance of the nail, it actually plays an important role in the body, protecting the place where the growing nail touches the skin from bacteria penetration. For this reason, it can not be completely removed - you should always leave a small strip at the root in order to avoid infections.
  • Modern methods involving uncut cutting are considered to be the best in aesthetic terms - they are guaranteed to provide an even cuticle edge and assume a lower risk of injury. At home, everyone, even the masters, is usually limited to the trimming method, but whenever possible you should resort to it as little as possible.
  • The body becomes accustomed to a certain influence from the outside, and its change, even for the better, can lead to a short-lived, supposedly deterioration. It is the same with the cuticle - it adapts itself to one of the removal methods (edged or uncut), and if you change the technique, such unexpected consequences as accelerated growth and rapid loss of neatness are possible. However, over time, the nails will get used to the new method of manicure, because the main thing - just do not alternate them all the time.
  • Pre-soaking nails in many cases reduces the discomfort of performing a manicure - since the nail plate becomes softer, it no longer resists cutting so much that the procedure is painless. However, recently, experts more often persuade customers to abandon this idea, since water often contributes to the penetration of microbes into the smallest wounds, and can also become a convenient breeding environment for bacteria that have already been on the skin.
