Pink and purple - these are the colors that do not lose their relevance and with each year become only more popular. Each season there are new shades, and ultraviolet at all in 2018 became the color of the year. Manicure in pink and purple colors is always effective and original, so you should be careful with it and carefully select the appropriate shades, otherwise you can overdo it.
The combination of purple and pink
From a color point of view, purple is an intermediate color between red and blue, and pink is a light version of red. These colors are close, so combining them is easy. The main thing is to pay attention to the saturation and lightness. For example, pastel pink will give contrast with rich dark purple. Matters warmth and coldness shade - Violet can easily be any, but pink is more suitable for its warm variations.
You should not add red to this combination - it will look very defiant. It is better to use transitional shades between red and purple - wine, plum, etc. But if you need showiness, then the most successful option is a combination of purple, red and cyclamen. Cyclamen is a bright and saturated version of pink, it will very well fall between purple and red.
Fashionable shades
In the autumn-winter 2018-2019 season, the American agency Pantone color design, which the entire design industry focuses on, outlined several suitable shades. Among them, however, muted shades prevail, which are compiled with a significant addition of gray.
First of all, ultra violet (ultra violet) is a grayish-blue-violet hue. This time, Pantone called it the color of the year, and it is very suitable color of the cold season, as well as the owners of the color type "winter".
Another shade from this list is the crocus petal (crocus petal). It is very reminiscent of lavender or lilac, but has a substantial portion of gray and white, which give a cold subtone. You can also pay attention to the shades of the past season (spring-summer 2018):
- barely mauve (almost mauve);
- spring crocus (spring crocus).
These shades are very light, they are distinguished by a cold subtone and considerable lightness. But they can be easily assembled in any manicure. Moreover, in French manicure or ombre, they can easily replace the white color.
The corresponding lacquer can be found by matching the eye or checking the numbers of shades from Pantone - many manufacturers of clothing and cosmetic products take as a basis their palette.
Classic manicure
The most elementary option is to make up some nails with purple and others with pink varnish. At the same time, uniform coatings and shades similar in their saturation and brightness will look more harmonious. That is, choosing a pale pink matte lacquer, in a pair it is better to pick up a lilac and the same matte, and not a dark purple gloss or metallic.
If the classic version seems too boring, manicure can be diluted with various design solutions. It can be just stickers, rhinestones, etc. With proper skills, you can draw pictures. Geometrical figures in the spirit of avant-garde and cubism will look fashionable and beautiful. In this case, it is possible to separate the areas of different colors with metallic stripes or metallic lacquer. Or simply draw the contour lines of any color that seems appropriate.
French manicure
In the traditional version of the French manicure is a white strip on the edge of the nail plate and a transparent coating for the rest. The low-key variant would be translucent lilac and matte light pink or, conversely, transparent pink and matte lilac. So you fit into the office dress code and give the image of originality. For an informal setting, you can afford a French manicure with more saturated colors. But it is best to arrange them so that they are combined according to the rules of color. Although you can choose a combination of dark purple and pastel-pink, if the first will be used for a strip along the edge, and pink - for the main part of the nail.
French manicure traditionally suggests that the width of the strip depends on the length of the nail. It occupies the entire part of the nail plate, which stands for the finger. Departures from this are possible, but this option most often looks like the most successful one. At the same time, a fairly wide strip leaves a lot of room for creativity - you can draw a picture on it, and depict the strip itself in a bizarre form. Alternatively, it can be divided vertically or horizontally and made two-color - from pink and purple, and the rest of the nail plate covered with clear varnish.
Ombre
Ombre manicure is a transition between different colors in the form of feathering and is very similar to watercolor drawing. As a rule, for this purpose, a dark and light shade is taken. For a uniform transition between them, it is best to take a third one, for example, light purple. It will ensure uniformity of the coating and the absence of contrast between pale pink and dark purple. Or you can take white and make it the most extreme from the light side, as if continuing the color transition.
Ombre is of two types - with the transition from dark to light and, conversely, from light to dark. The choice will be determined by personal choice, but there are some tricks. If the light part is located on the inner side of the nail plate, then the area of the cuticle merges with it, and with the help of the dark part of the manicure attention is focused on the edge of the nail.
In the reverse situation, the emphasis is on the cuticle. Therefore, it is highly desirable to pay attention to how smooth and neat the edge of the nail plate in this place.
One of the most popular and unusual options ombre - using metallic. Lucky with such an effect always look spectacular, so it’s enough to choose one of such a plan, and the rest of the colors to take the classic glossy or matte. In addition, there are thermal gel polishes that change color from pink to purple. Such gel polishes, for example, are produced under the brand name Canni.
