Visiting the Crimean peninsula, most people associate only with relaxing on the beaches (in organized or “wild” places). But far from the seashore, the nature of these places can surprise many people. A striking example is the waterfall Kozyrek.

Journey

It is necessary to look for it near the village of Peredovoy, where the Kobalar Valley is crossed by the Kobalar-Su river. For your information: 3 more attractive waterfalls are located further to its source. The name "Kobalar-Su" literally means "cave river." It received its name because of the mass of grottoes that are found almost throughout the course of the channel. In the summer months, the upper waterfalls usually dry up, and sometimes they are deprived of water in the last spring days.

Surprisingly, The name of the Kobalar waterfall in Crimea is in no way connected with the name of the river itself. He was given a characteristic tuff growth, which appeared in 2009. The location of the reservoir makes it convenient for tourists to visit. Nearby are places for recreation: comfortable parking for travelers, gazebos. All the way, pointers are put that allow you to reach by car without any problems.

It is recommended to go on the road from Sevastopol from the bus station "5th kilometer". This is the easiest and most convenient option.

At the ticket office of the bus station you can always buy tickets to the village of Peredovoy, and on arrival there tourists will have to go down.

Passing along the Lower Lake, they quickly find a place where Kobalar-Su flows. After about 0.1 km, the asphalt will give way to a dirt road, which will lead travelers to a small valley.

A bridge is across the river. Passing it, tourists climb the groove. From it turn left and go along the shore of the lake. At the entrance to the nearest forest is a sign that notifies that there is a waterfall Kozyrek nearby. He runs off the cliff. On the bridge you can go to the other side, and then go to the waterfall from behind.

The merits of the object

Some descriptions also indicate that you can walk to the Visor on foot from the Black Rivers. The Chernorechensky reservoir itself and the Skelsky cave with it will also delight the guests, but this is a topic for a separate story. Additional beauty of the waterfall gives the beech forest that surrounds it. In the surrounding elegant caves willingly go speleologists and tourists. The reason for interest is simple:

  • parking, preserved from the primitive period;
  • mesolithic finds;
  • traces of ancient hunts.

    The surrounding area is composed of calcareous rocks. Therefore, there are frequent karst dips. A visit to the waterfall is recommended during the spring or autumn months. Then its channel is filled with either melt water or precipitation. The stream does not look too impressive, but it looks elegant.

    It seems that the flow is flattened and creates a water curtain. Through it, the sun is clearly visible. Light highlights harmoniously intertwined with the jets, which allows you to enjoy a unique picture. Brilliant appearance is complemented by the melodious sound of water. And below under a canopy, the water is collected in a miniature lake, where tourists swim.

    Additional Information

    Baidar Valley is a nature reserve, and this creates certain restrictions for tourists. The territory of the valley is very rugged, and it is hardly possible to get to the Visor itself by car. Walk will have about 1.5 km. The surroundings of the waterfall are well equipped. There is:

    • benches;
    • canopies;
    • bonfires;
    • barbecue places.

    Near the waterfall is quiet and calm.Especially few people here in the morning. Walking along the trail that leads there, you can see the sight in the smallest details. The feelings cast by untouched nature are unusually strong. Roe deer and other animals often walk in the surrounding forests.

    The water in the spring Bunuku-Chokrak is very clean and suitable for drinking. But we must be careful when climbing the trail.

    On this site and on the site itself are many polished stones. Due to constant contact with water, they become very slippery.

    Locals are well aware that it is very easy to break off the visor.

      If you do not have your own car, you can get to the goal by taxi or by bus, going from Sevastopol. The length of the path is approximately 5 km. Those who stop in the private sector should ride the shuttle bus from the village of Rodnikovoye, if you have a car, it is advisable to drive along the Sevastopol-Bakhchisarai highway. From Bakhchisarai turn right, reaching the golubinki.

      In the village of Advanced, where tourists come on this route, you need to look for a road ring with shops and stalls. At the fork nearby, turn right again. The last leg of the journey (by car and on foot) is approximately 3 km. The probability of getting lost is low because a lot of people travel and follow this path. It is imperative to monitor the children so that they do not commit dangerous nonsense.

      The lake, where the waterfall flows into, becomes the source of the stream flowing further along the gully. Grotto Fatma-Koba is a place of ancient burial. Nearby is found the mass of the bones of ancient animals and hunting tools. The Baidar Valley, where the waterfall is located, was nicknamed the Crimean Switzerland for its climatic characteristics and brilliant views.
