Brand history
Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana was founded in 1982 two young designers - Domenico Dolce and Steffano Gabbana. Three years later, designers first declared themselves to the whole world, presenting at the Milano Collezioni fashion show a collection of clothes for strong and self-confident women with no model appearance. Its main decoration were dresses and light sundresses.
Models from collections
Annually Dolce & Gabbana produce about thirty collections, in each of which there are always sundresses.
One of the first sundresses created by the brand was the black “bustier” model, and the designers themselves call this product “the quintessential style Dolce & Gabbana. Later, the fashion house released a leopard print dress and still this model is a relaxed and confident lady's uniform.
Another model, a sign for Dolce & Gabbana - sundress-caftan straight cut, without sleeves or 3/4 sleeves. This time, the product was also made in black, which in principle is the hallmark of the brand, but recently you can see this model in various bright and variegated colors on the catwalk.
Both designers do not hide that they admire every female figure, and an easy way to emphasize her - wear a sundress. Under this slogan, sarafan models with the aesthetics of the 50s were released. These are elegant, feminine things in the style of "retro" and "classic." In another collection, designers sang sexuality and femininity by releasing a whole batch of bustier sundresses with a pencil skirt.
Another amazing sundress model by Dolce & Gabbana - maxi skirt version. Designers from collection to collection fill long models with bright prints. These sundresses breathe Sicilian style, in them a woman immediately acquires a holiday relaxation and charm, even if she walks through the streets of a busy metropolis.
A number of models of Dolce & Gabbana sundresses, which once again conquered the hearts of many young ladies, are distinguished by their special fabric. Designers have released several options, sewn from lace, mesh or translucent chiffon. The philosophy of the fashion house is: “The female body is beautiful by nature and you don’t need to hide it”.
Decor
Favorite "trick" designers of this fashion house - decorate your products with anythingas long as it relates to Italy. All sorts of embroidery, drawings, applications, glorifying Dolce & Gabbana's homeland, adorn dresses and sundresses from the very beginning of the foundation of the brand to this day.
Designers even created a separate collection called “Italy is love”. Without exception, sundresses and dresses presented in it, decorated in Italian themes. At the show of this collection, the models showed dresses decorated with prints depicting all the provinces of the country, with their features and attractions.
Color and print
The color that is most often found in the collections of Dolce & Gabbana - the black. There are also monophonic options that amaze the imagination, but most often designers dilute the gloom of black, combining it with yellow, red, pink shades, create graphic black and white sundresses, adorn multicolored models with black lace.
In the new season, prints on dresses and sundresses of Dolce & Gabbana look as if a woman is wearing clothes, not a picture. Patterns depicting fruit trees, landscapes and ancient architecture, even the face of Madonna are found in the new collection of summer sundresses almost everywhere.
Another favorite theme for print designers is flowers. Fashionistas are invited to proudly carry on bouquets whole bouquets. At the same time, decorative and wildflowers can be skillfully mixed in one product: poppies coexist with roses, chamomile - camellias, and together this combination gives a dizzying effect.
