How to train a dog team "Fas"?

Having started a dog, the owner must not only feed him properly and provide proper care. For the full development of puppies, they must be educated and trained. One of the important commands that you need to train a dog is Fas. Having mastered it, the pet will fully be able to show the qualities of a defender. How to train a dog to this team will be discussed in this article.

It is believed that the command "Fas" is derived from the German verb, which translates into Russian as "grab". By its execution it is meant that the pet will attack, by a decree of the owner, on a potential “enemy” and will release it only in the case of the team of its owner. In the first place, service dogs should be trained. However, for pets this team also will not be superfluous. It will improve the protective qualities of the animal.

It is believed that for training a dog must have the following characteristics:

• the animal should not show excessive friendliness to strangers, on the contrary, strangers should alarm it;
• the dog must be developed physically and have quite impressive dimensions; This means that representatives of small breeds are poorly suited for this team;
• the dog must be bold and at the same time be able to exercise restraint.

The easiest way to train a pet, using the services of professional trainers. However, this does not mean that training at home is impossible. Self-study may take more time and effort, but this task is quite doable. Learning a pet is necessary with the involvement of outsiders to practice the team. It is desirable that the assistants periodically changed. Otherwise, the team can gain a foothold in reaction only to a specific person.

For training you need to find a suitable place. It is desirable that the territory was fenced, and there were no strangers on it, except for the trainer and assistant. At the training site should be a pillar or adult tree with a thick trunk, so that you can attach a pet to it.

If a professional trainer is not involved in the training, the owner of the dog should study in detail all the subtleties of training. Before embarking on basic training, a pet must be taught to understand the “Alien” command. For this, when the guard qualities are manifested, the pet must hear from the owner the exclamation “Alien” and praise in his address. The command can be pronounced every time there is a knock or a doorbell. Over time, the animal develops the habit of starting to bark after the command has been uttered.

Strengthen skills best on the street with the involvement of strangers. To do this, you can use the following technique:

1. it is necessary to find in advance an assistant, which the dog should not know about meeting in a public place; a person must make an attempt to touch the owner of the dog with his hands;
2. the owner, in turn, must resist, pushing away the assistant, while shouting the word "Alien";
3. if the animal has learned the command well, it will try to attack the stranger; at this moment it is important to keep the dog on a leash so as not to injure the other person.

With the right behavior of a pet in this situation, it must be praised. Promotion delicacy in this case is not necessary. The best reward in such training for the dog will be the fear of a stranger or his escape.

Several different techniques can be used to teach an animal to the Fas team. The method of training is selected individually for each dog, depending on its skills and character. The standard action algorithm includes several actions.

1. The animal must be well tied to a tree or pole. The chain should be rather long and necessarily strong so that the dog could not tear it off.
2. The owner must be near the pet. The assistant is at a distance, but it must be in the field of view of the dog. In his hands should be a piece of cloth and a stick.
3. The assistant begins to approach the animal, attracting attention. He can scream, jump, bang the stick on the ground and wave his hands.
4. When the pet focuses on the person, the owner should say the phrase "Fas." The animal must instinctively begin to show aggression. If you managed to get the desired reaction, the pet must be praised. Giving delicacies does not make sense, since the food in this case will only distract from training.
5. The assistant should approach the furious dog and begin to lightly strike him with a stick. The main thing - do not overdo it with the force of impact, so as not to hurt the animal. In such a situation, the pet should begin to rush to the stick, trying to grab it and bite it.
6. The assistant should put the dog in a piece of cloth and let the teeth grip it. Several times pulling the end of the cloth, the assistant must “give up”, leaving the fabric to the animal, and run away, thereby recognizing his defeat.
7. In the process of improvised struggle for a rag the owner must periodically repeat the command "Fas". To consolidate the result, the exercise must be repeated several times in one lesson.

Additional exercises can also be included in the training program. When they work out the dog must be on a leash.

The assistant should approach the animal and try to pick it up. The dog should try to pounce on the person and at this time the owner needs to repeat the Fas loudly and confidently several times.

• In many ways, the duration of training is affected by the breed of the pet. This is justified by the genetic predisposition of some species to protect the owner and his property. Sheepdogs can master the team in just three days, but there may be problems with the training of rottweilers, as they like to dominate and can resist for a long time.
