Recently, the modern world of fashion increasingly includes attributes that were popular in the postwar years. Women's fashion of the time was distinguished by courage, elegance and some surrealism, which women often look for in modern wardrobe elements, wanting to stand out and emphasize their individuality. In the 1920s, fashion was forced to switch from delicate romantic themes to modernism, thanks to which designers of that time had more space for creativity.

The post-war 20s were characterized by high industrial and economic growth. During this period, the girls began to master the male professions, which required some victims from them. Many women had to abandon corsets or uncomfortable maxi skirts, which is why the fashion designers of that time were faced with a difficult task - to create clothing silhouettes that would still emphasize the femininity of their owners, but at the same time be as comfortable as possible.

In the United States at the same period, women received the right to vote, as a result of which many girls began to actively strive to be on a par with men, which affected not only their dressing styles, but also behave in public.

They easily exchanged quiet social events for noisy parties in bars and pubs, as well as cheerful dances until the morning. During the day, women gave themselves responsible work, and at night they went in search of adventure.

Smoking came into fashion and alcohol abuse, which greatly influenced not only their general perception, but also their shape. Because of the bad habits and active lifestyle, the “girl-boy” has become a new ideal. The slim figure in combination with carefully arranged short hair, open shoulders and a short skirt, deliberate self-confidence along with the desire to delight the public around him, made them even more sexy in the eyes of many men.

However, it’s not a simple task for fashion designers. At the time, it was difficult to emphasize such a female figure beautifully. Clothing cut has become easier, but more functional and comfortable. And for designers, decor was the main focus of attention of women's wardrobe.

In America, such talented and famous fashion designers as Jeanne Paken, Jacques Patou and Jacques Doucet created a new ideal of the girl of the beginning of the 20th century. Its main and most striking feature was independence, which was emphasized by the fitted silhouettes of dresses with spectacular decoration elements and incredibly stylish models of suits and coats with a low waistline.

The cut of evening dresses necessarily slightly expanded downwards so that the girl who lived in the era of the revival of jazz, shimmy and foxtrot was comfortable to move on the dance floor. Dancing at the time really became a real passion for many women. That is why various elements of decor came into fashion, for example, “pendants”, which actively shook the girl during the dance and gave her a certain charm.

In the USSR, at the same time, women's fashion was actively developing around the needs of the country after the war, and focused on convenience and its maximum practicality.To replace the feminine light dresses came straight soldier skirts long midi and cloth jackets.

And it is during this period that cosmetics becomes the “best friend” of every woman. Her active use in combination with spectacular outfits made the ladies very extravagant, but at the same time incredibly flirtatious personalities. Properly applied long arrows, rouge, dark shadows, as well as red lipstick and the same shade of nail polish emphasize and enhance the natural beauty of young girls.

This year, many fashion designers and designers once again showed us the echoes of the style of the 20th year in their new collections.
