The English word interlock means "overlap, crossing." It is this way of knitting a knitted fabric that forms the basis for the manufacture of interlock: the dense interlacing of intersecting fibers.

Interlock is a type of knitwear, which is distinguished by a special way of interlacing fibers that form a dense web into an elastic band. The fibers are knitted on special knitting machines with two rows of needles located at a certain inclination relative to each other. Yarn, which is used for knitting, has a slight twisting. The method of knitting this knitted fabric is the technology of cross-knitted weaving of threads, which is formed by combining several basic weaves. The stitches of the loops form small gaps, which gives the fabric density and elasticity.

• Suprem - knitted fabric, consisting of cotton with the addition of lycra, which gives the fabric greater than the interlock elasticity. This is a thin fabric that lets air well, therefore light summer clothes are often sewn from it.
• Ribana may contain pure cotton as an interlock or include an additive from viscose, lycra, as well as rubber fibers, therefore the material is very tight and elastic. The front surface and the reverse side are almost the same.
• Velours It is also based on cotton. It is purely cotton and may contain additives - polyester or lycra. But the wrong surface in contact with the skin, always consists of pure cotton.
