After graduation, young Kenzo gets a job in a Tokyo supermarket, he lives at this time on the outskirts of the city in a small dilapidated house.
When his home was demolished, he was paid good compensation, which could be spent on acquiring decent housing in the capital. However, the ambitious future fashion designer ordered finances in his own way.
In 1965, Kenzo moved to Paris - a fashionable capital with chic prospects for those who know what he wants. Continuing to strive for their goal - to become a famous and recognizable fashion designer - the Japanese work hard to create unique models. Already five years later, a fashion show is taking place in Paris, in which Kenzo presents his line of women's clothing, which completely turned the idea of European fashion and fashion from “haute couture” as a whole.
In search of his true direction, Kenzo created a unique combination of Western-style clothes that were popular at the time with traditionally Japanese kimonos. And he hit the bull's eye. Literally immediately after the show, the tireless Japanese opened his own shop in Paris.
Today, the Kenzo brand has an absolutely French leadership. His pioneer retired in 1993, having sold the trademark of the French company LVMH, continuing, nevertheless, to create models and images for it.
