Gift wrapping is a task, of course, not so difficult as his choice, but also forcing him to break his head. I would like to please the bestowed, and to ensure the safety and security of the gift.
A gift, originally packaged in beautiful wrapping paper, enhances its value - after all, the one to whom you hand it will understand that you took time not only to choose something that the addressee really likes, but also his design.
Types of packaging materials
Before discussing the ways of packaging, we will understand, and what, in fact, you can pack a gift. Consider which types of paper are suitable for these purposes, and which - not very.
- Glossy sheets. This is the very paper that gifts are most often wrapped in. It is she who is in rolls and sheets sold in most stationery stores and gift salons. For novice packers, this is the most convenient option.
- Kraft. This type of paper is designed specifically for wrapping presents. She has a transverse stamping and ribbed texture. Sold in ten-meter rolls.
- Quiet - thin and airy paper. It’s best to wrap things that are complex in shape.
- Corrugated paper. It is most often used for packing bouquets, however, it is convenient to wrap with it elongated, cylindrical objects - bottles, thermoses, vases.
- Polysilk - this is not really paper, made of polymeric material. Used to create large decorative bows. It looks like a thick film, tends to stretch a little. Suitable for packing things that have a non-standard shape.
- Mulberry - paper made in Thailand. It may contain floristic elements (dry leaves, flowers), as well as ornaments, drawings.
Without dwelling on pearl, silk, tattered, gel and embossed paper in detail, we turn to the packaging methods.
Packing options
The main and most common material for wrapping a flat gift is wrapping paper. You can take absolutely any - a lot of them on sale, with colors and prints for every taste.
Of course, choosing the paper, you need to proceed from the one who plans to present the gift.
A serious man is unlikely to pack with a print of unicorns or candy, and the young princess will be surprised by rough craft paper.
So, gift paper is selected. It remains to wrap in it that you will give. To do this, take a sheet that is suitable in size, a roll of adhesive tape and glue - better than PVA. First you need to wrap the gift on the long side, fastening the edges with adhesive tape. Where the sheet has short edges, you need to fold them into corners. Further, the corners are folded inward and carefully glued. After that, you can glue the bow, tie a ribbon, other decorative elements.
You can pack your gift in the newspaper. Of course, for this you need to choose a newspaper with a minimum of photos and small text without scandalous headlines. If you can stylize it for vintage, you get a great package.
If you have a printer at home, print a puzzle on wrapping paper and circle the words “With love” or “From a friend” with a felt-tip pen.
It turns out unusual and at the same time warm. On simple white packing lists you can draw faces of charming animals - owls, cats, dogs. And you can - ribbon and bow. Print a photo of the person to whom you will hand a gift, stick it on the packaging. Write warm words.
If your gift is already packed in a box - white or “cardboard” brown shade - you can not wrap it. Tie a chic surround bow.Even easier - wrap the gift ribbon and paste the biggest bow that is on sale.
Instead of a ribbon, a multi-colored rope will suit, to which you can attach a name tag carved from cardboard and write the name of the person for whom the gift is prepared. You can wrap the present with brown craft paper, tie it up with the usual twine to match, and put a flower or a fir-tree branch under the bundle (depending on the holiday).
Even paper bags, which put purchases in clothing stores, can be used to create beautiful packaging.
