Well-groomed hair - an important part of the image of any modern woman. Smooth, shiny hair is always in trend - they can be seen in advertising, it is the choice of many celebrities. Only a few such hair is given by nature. The rest has to strive with all its might for the ideal. The modern beauty industry offers all new and new ways to achieve straight and smooth hair.

Features of the procedure

For a start, I want to say that not only women with curly and wavy curls tend to smooth them. There are several other problems in which women resort to straightening.

  • If the hair is rather thin, porous and badly shaped hair, they have to straighten to look neat.
  • An important role is played by the type of hair growth. It happens that they are wrapped on one side or on both sides inside or away from the face. Or when closer to the ends light waves begin.
  • There are hairs that curl from excessive moisture or over-exaggerate as well as electrify.

All kinds of procedures and manipulations were invented to solve such problems. To make it easier to understand, they can be divided into:

  • mechanical - in which various devices are used;
  • thermal - where the hair takes the desired position after heating, it is rather a subtype of mechanical methods of straightening;
  • cosmetic - using factory or home styling products.

    Of course, the easiest way to contact the salon, where you can relax until the master does all the work. However, there are some downsides. The most significant of them are the cost and duration of the procedures. Not everyone can afford to spend several hours in the cabin and pay for it more than one thousand rubles. In addition, it is difficult to find a really good master, whose result will be perfect, will last for a long time and will not hurt your hair.

    Some procedures can be mastered independently, without acquisition of expensive tools and monetary investments. Straightening at home can be done at any convenient time, without waiting for the record to the hairdresser and combining with other things.

    The choice in this case depends on the hair and the expected result. Even a slight smoothing effect will be noticeable for a girl with naughty small curls. For others it is important to get perfectly smooth strands along the entire length.

    Mechanical methods

    In extreme situations, when there are no special devices, you can use improvised means - rubber bands or invisible. With their help, you need to fix wet hair in the stretched state - in the form of a tail or wrapping it around the head. After drying strands retain their shape. But the most popular among the devices are curlers and electric irons.

    Curlers

    Choosing curlers, give preference to the largest, with a rough surface (they are also called hedgehogs or stickies). Especially if you have long hair. Keep in mind that the tips of the strands on the side and back will not be perfectly straight, but slightly turned towards the face. In addition to buying curlers, you will need clips - they will help fix the tips and protect against movement.

    Step-by-step instruction.

    • All manipulations associated with straightening, you need to start with washing your hair. If they are stale, even a good result will look untidy.
    • Strands should be dried so that they remain slightly wet.Then you should apply a smoothing cosmetic, comb well, now you can start winding up.
    • First you need to separate the bangs, place the curlers on the edge and turn in the direction of the face. Then you need to pay attention to the central part of the forehead to the head. Separate the strands of the desired thickness and wrap them inward. We do the same with the remaining side parts.
    • It takes at least two hours to dry naturally. And it is better to walk around with curlers longer. It is not recommended to do this procedure at night - it is inconvenient to sleep, and hair curlers can move out.

    In addition to straightening, this method gives hair volume. To keep the result as long as possible, use a lacquer to fix.

    Iron

    According to the principle of action, the hair straightener is similar to the usual one. To purchase it, you need certain financial costs. But then he can serve more than one year. On sale there are many budget models. To protect the hair from excessive heat, be sure to use a heat spray. In any case, the iron is undesirable to use for daily styling, as regular overheating destroys the hair.

    • We start from the occipital region. Fix the top part with a clip. Separate the order, sprinkle with the spray, then comb and place the ironing between the heated plates. We carry out from the base to the tips and immediately lay in the right direction.
    • Similarly, you need to straighten the entire mass of hair. After completion of the work, it is not recommended to touch the strands until they cool down completely.
    • At the end they can be fixed with varnish. With experience, the procedure will take less time. But do not forget about safety - do not hold the iron in one area for a long time and avoid contact with the skin.

    Cosmetic formulations

      On the shelves you can see shampoos, balms, masks and sprays with a smoothing effect. This property is explained by the presence of various additives in them. Reviews, as a rule, are ambiguous - not all products straighten hair really well, and it does not work for very long.

      There are analogues of salon procedures that can be done at home. It is important to perform any of them neatly and correctly, therefore it is better not to do this on your own, but to seek help from the household or acquaintances. For starters, it is better to try an inexpensive version of the mass market. More expensive products are best purchased in specialized stores for professionals. On the Internet, there are even ads from masters selling rectifiers in small portions. But it is better to contact a verified seller with good reviews, otherwise you can run into harmful substances in the composition and damage your hair.

      The most popular procedure in this area is keratin straightening. The tool is usually attached instruction. But the sequence of steps in all cases is about the same.

      • First you need to wash your hair once or twice and rinse it well.
      • Then dry with a towel or hairdryer, but with cool air and not until the end.
      • Hair is well combed and stabbed the bulk, leaving a few strands from the bottom. This is where you should start.
      • Keratin should be prepared in accordance with the instructions. It is better to buy everything you need for this (including brushes and a liquid container) right in the store, along with the product.
      • Strands should be as thin as possible. The straightener is applied along the entire length, retreating from the scalp a few millimeters. It is better to purchase a slightly larger volume, since it can be incorrectly calculated for the first time.
      • Then you need to comb the hair with a comb with frequent teeth and leave it for half an hour to absorb it. There is no need to perederzhat, this time is enough.
      • The final stage is the most crucial. In the same order in which you put keratin, you need to walk along the strands ironing.To skip this stage is impossible, since it is heat that contributes to the penetration of keratin inside the hair.

      It is better to plan this procedure in advance. Since after it for three days you can not wash your hair, put on them any cosmetics and hairstyles. Keratin-smoothed hair care must be appropriate. There are whole lines of funds supporting the result. The advantage of this procedure is in a rather long-lasting effect (up to six months). However, the way to straighten natural curls quickly and forever have not yet been invented.

      Grown roots deserve closer attention - the procedure will have to be repeated so that they are not very noticeable.

      Folk remedies

        Even before the appearance in the shops of a large number of factory-made cosmetics, there were many popular recipes. Despite the apparent simplicity, most of them gave good results. Moreover, they are based on natural ingredients that do not exactly cause negative consequences to curls. These include the following.

        • Gelatin mask First you need to prepare the container and brush. Gelatin needs to be filled with water to make it swollen. And then dissolve it in a water bath or in a microwave. The proportions of water and gelatin are usually written in packaging and are slightly different depending on the manufacturer. On average, a spoonful of gelatin needs 3 tablespoons of water. If the consistency is thick, it can be diluted with any means for washing hair (balm or mask). While the gelatin is dissolved, you need to separate the upper part from the hair and stab it. Begin at the bottom, distributing the mask over the entire length. Then it is better to wrap the head with a film and a towel. After two hours, you need to wash your hair well without shampoo.
        • Banana-yolk mask. For its preparation you need to take 2 yolks, half a banana, 1 tbsp. spoon of liquid honey and 2 spoons of any vegetable oil. The banana must be ground in a blender and mixed with other ingredients. This mask is applied in any convenient way. Half an hour is enough for her to act.
        • Masks with oils. Here you can use any vegetable or cosmetic oil (not to be confused with essential). They can be easily found in a pharmacy or specialty store. It can be burdock, peach, coconut or grape seed oil. Each of them has its own properties that must be considered. But absolutely all oil masks smooth out the hair scales, thickening it. 2-3 applications can be mixed in one application. After applying the hair necessarily combed and wrapped with a film or towel.

        Such a mask can be kept for several hours - depending on free time and desire. As a result, even the most fluffy hairstyle will look much neater.

        There are a few more folk tricks that complement mechanical straightening methods. Namely, the use of fluids that not only smooth the hair, but also fix it in this position. To do this, use:

        • beer mixed with lemon juice;
        • sweetened tea leaves (we are talking about the minimum sugar addition - no more than a spoon per glass so that the hairstyle does not look glued);
        • chamomile decoction;
        • acetic solution.

        To facilitate application, it is better to pour the liquid into a bottle with a sprayer. There you can add a couple of drops of oil. Any of the above tools are first applied to the hair, combed. And only then begin to straighten - ironing, curlers, etc. The folk remedies have many advantages. They have been tested for years, and even among friends there will certainly be those who have used something similar at least once.

        Another advantage is the availability and low cost of ingredients, as well as ease of procedures. It is a pity that the hairstyle with straight curls is saved only until the next trip to the shower.
