To do dancing, every girl needs special clothes. The main part of such clothing is usually a skirt, which for each type of dance will be different and have some characteristic features.

These skirts are often sewn with your own hands or to order, getting the original product, ideal for the figure of its owner.

For ballroom dancing

Many women like such dances for their special rhythm, romance and sensuality. Skirts for such dances, which are called the Standard, are usually represented by single-color floor-length models.

The most common styles of such skirts - flared or year. On the hem of many models sew a shuttlecock, which can be in tone with the product or in a contrasting color.

Skirts for sport dancing are extraordinarily beautiful and spectacular. Often they have a short length or a long cut, which opens up an excellent opportunity to show slender legs.

For Oriental - for belly dancing

Those who are interested in oriental dances are attracted by their ability to improve the plastic and correct the figure.

The peculiarities of the skirts for such dances are their airiness, the use of light fabrics for their tailoring, as well as the rich decor.

The most popular style is the "sun". Such a skirt is sewn with a length of translucent and flowing fabrics, among which organza, chiffon, silk and satin are especially popular. If the material is chosen to be transparent, the model is made multi-layered. In the decoration of such a skirt, frills, decorative fabric inserts and an embroidered belt are used.

The skirt “sun” for oriental dances is more in demand by slender girls, and with fullness they prefer the style “year”. The skirt of this cut fits the figure in the hips, and then expands. For its sewing use elastic fabrics, for example, biflex, knitwear or natural materials with the addition of lycra and other stretch fibers. The expansion of the skirt is ensured by sewing in 4 or 6 wedges.

For belly dance also use straight skirts with a high slit, located on the front one leg or side. This model fits the silhouette and different elegant look.

For ballet

Ballet classes attract girls who want to become flexible and flexible. Since the main elements of such dances are jumps and stretch marks, skirts for choreography should not hamper movements.

Ballerinas conduct their training sessions in short and light skirts of simple cut, for which they use elastic fabric. Usually these are the “sun” models that do not interfere with the development of movements. For performances use other skirts, the style of which is represented by a “pack” or “shopenka”. Their tailoring is made of materials that can keep the shape. It can be mesh, tulle, tulle and similar fabrics.

The main difference between these styles is their softness and rigidity. Often, a tutu-skirt is sewn tightly with a “sun” or “half-sun” pattern. It is distinguished by its small length and the presence of several layers of material. The skirt-shopenka softer and sewn longer.

For Latin dances

Passionate girls who like their fiery rhythm are interested in such dances. In choosing a skirt for this type of dance, it is important to ensure freedom of movement and comfort, and at the same time to choose a bright attractive model.

An excellent choice would be a tight hips short skirt that expands slightly down. No less popular are skirts to the knees, which have high cuts.

Products with an asymmetrical cut and skirts of the “sun” style are in high demand. For their manufacture apply elastic and lightweight fabrics, characterized by bright colors. Tango lovers are attracted to long skirts, which seductively flow and trim with ruffles.

Curvy models

To move freely in dance, most women choose volumetric models of skirts. These are skirts of the “sun” and “half-sun” styles, lush versions of several cloths of cloth, as well as skirts in a large or small fold.

Skirts-packs are also referred to the lush models, because due to the hard tulle in several layers such skirts differ in their volumetric shape and are convenient for practicing choreography.

How to sew?

To sew a skirt used for oriental dances, select a suitable thin fabric, then create a pattern (most often, “sun” or “half-sun” styles), transfer it to the fabric and cut out the necessary details. Next, sew the side seams, leaving a place under the zipper. Separately cut fabric for the belt and strengthen it with flizelin. A zipper is sewn into the skirt and a belt is sewn to it, and then the product is left hanging for a few days. The final stage of manufacturing will be the processing of seams and, if it is planned, sewing the ribbon to the hem.

Tailoring skirts for ballroom dancing is also often carried out in the style of "sun". The pattern is transferred to a suitable material, it is cut, and then the side seam is stitched. Often there are several such skirts, for example, the lower one from lining fabric, the middle one from tulle and the upper one from satin. A separate part is cut out of each fabric, then they are applied one on another and sewn together in a belt. The lower edge of the upper skirt is often trimmed with a contrasting fabric or frill.
